Trump vows removal of ‘millions of illegal aliens’ starting next week

I agree with the E-verify. However my most pressing concern [in the event this is successful] would be who will replace all these workers in one of the fastest growing regions in the country. [central TX]

OTOH it might seriously affect people's decisions on moving here in the first place. :2wave: Traffic might dwindle!

Who cares?? As long as we get rid of all those darn tootin immigrants. They be Looting, pillaging and sacking a major city.

It will not be a 3 point landing for the future generations if Trump can't stop the invasion. Those before him in the name of equality
have thrown open the nations doors converting America into a boarding house for the world. Kerry at the Northeastern University
commencement last year as I recall told the students they were entering a 'borderless world' Trump is saying not so fast.

So, you haven't notice that Trump has made the invasion worse?

Kerry means 'border-less' as a metaphor. You're not going to stop globalization.

The next generation doesn't share your concern. I find that gratifying.

... not all concentration camps have ovens. The US had Japanese concentration camps, we managed to not have people in ovens. That isn't the point though.

Sent from the Oval Office using Putin's MacBook, and Barr's Wi-Fi password.

These dunderheads wanted to be given gold stars and full sized candy bars for supporting an administration that stops just short of wholesale genocide.

Americans at higher wages?

We have a 3% unemployment rate. More people can make an economy expand. It isn't just a given that these folks steal jobs (many of which, Americans don't want).

I wonder if he informed the people who would have to carry this out before he tweeted it, and gave them enough resources. If I was a betting man, I would bet NO.

I ain't touching that bet.

-----If you ...think the rules do not apply to you; if you seek to destroy the democratic institutions of your nation, solely to serve your own personal ends; if you foment racism, violence, xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny and racial intolerance; if you constantly lie to the people of your country; if you seek to destroy the credibility of news organizations to inoculate yourself against them reporting to the nation about your crimes; if you knowingly collude with foreign powers to undermine your country’s electoral process; if you sell public policy, domestic and foreign, to the highest bidder…you just might be a fascist.

Madeleine K. Albright, Fascism: A Warning

THAT SAME Madeleine Albright had a special message for female voters Saturday on the campaign trail with Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
"There's a special place in hell for women who don't help each other."

No one ever gets smarter listening to Madeleine Albright.

{So, you haven't notice that Trump has made the invasion worse?} How did you ever arrive at that, that decisively deficient
evaluation is worthy of an AOC outburst.

{You're not going to stop globalization} their you go again!

If you really feel that way you're swimming upstream, that's a backbreaker. Ethnonationalism is not resurgent it never died.
It continues to be & nearly always has been the world in which we live in the most powerful movement.
It has outlasted Marxism tearing apart the USSR. Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova & the Caucusus followed suite
& then went the 5 nations of Central Asia. That was not the end only the beginning, minorities inside the new nations wanted their
place in the sun & the Caucasus became the 20th century Balkans. This is just the primary example of many other breakups throughout
the world demonstrating the pull of ethnonationalism.

'Always it's Sameness that dominates! People favor friendships with those of similar backgrounds, interests & values. Despite many exceptions
the urge is almost universal, it's human nature!' Czechoslavakia, the Soviet Union & Yugoslavia were held together by a police state
when the police state disintegrated new nationalistic nations were formed.

Except now many women have had their reproductive rights stripped away, they are living in that hell. Turns out she was quite prophetic.

Going back to the topic [Ed.: The topic? You want to address the topic? What a unique idea!], the statement notes 'millions' to be deported. That's a minimum of 2,000,000. At present, the most recent information [Ref: Drudge, 6/19/2019] is that ICE is deporting 7,000 illegal immigrants per month. Seven thousand. Crunching, 7,000 into 2,000,000 and dividing by 12, we get a time of 23.8 years to accomplish the task.

Interesting.

Different times, different circumstances, apples, oranges

There was a "Day without a Mexican" protest in SoCal. All I noticed was a smoother rush hour.

I remember the first big rally on immigration they held in downtown LA. That was the one where they marched with all the Mexican Flags. A PR blunder of epic proportions.

On that day I remember driving north on the I5, near the Long Beach freeway, right by the Citadel Outlets shops, doing about 65mph, at 1pm and I couldn't believe how empty the freeway was.

Hold on there li'l pancake.
Genocide??? Nice sound-byte but...a gross misuse of the term.

I'll be eager to hear what the narrative will shift to if that shift were to materialize. Raising the minimum wage has been an uphill battle, so I suspect more of the same.

Wages go up naturally in markets where the economy is growing and employees are hard to come by. Here in the Austin area, fast food workers are making twice the minimum wage to start in many locals.

You still support tRump despite his deplorability. That is TDS.

actually trump know more about US law than you do at this point.
See we have laws in this country that say you must have permission to be here.

Either by citizenship, green card, visa or some other documented form.

if you don't have this then you are in this country illegally.
if you are in this country illegally there are laws that say you must be deported.

not sure what you don't understand about this simple concept.
pretty much every nation has laws like this.

The illegal aliens, who broke the law to enter the USA, months and years back, where given a second chance, to prove themselves. They were released into the US, but were asked to show up for a hearing, before a judge, to discuss their situation. The majority of those, who were given the second chance, never showed up for the hearing.

If a US citizen was required to appear in court, and failed to do so, the original judgment would be enforced against them. If you do not show up, you automatically lose your case, and have to pay the fine and/or do whatever the laws says.. An appeal or day in court is there for an opportunity to lessen or even remove the penalty. The aliens were originally treated with the same consideration as a US citizens, by being offered their day in court to appeal. Most chose deportation, by default, by not showing up to court.

The left thinks those who break the law, should get better treatment then honest citizens. For example, they thought Hillary could break the law; e-mail server and e-mail deletion, and still become president. It pissed them off when, Trump deported Hillary to civilian life. That is how the law worked. Most American believe in the rule of law, and if they are under law, the illegals also need to be. This is fair minded thinking.

Hopefully, future illegal will see how important it is to show up for a hearing, if they are asked to do so. Sanctuary cities could be partially at fault, since they have demonstrated to the immigrants, that illegal aliens who break criminal laws, like stealing and assault will be protected in terms of deportation. These cities may have sent the wrong signals about compliance to federal laws, such as showing for federal hearings. Some of the Governors and Mayors may have to brought in for questioning to see if they gave illegal advice, that shafted the illegals. Trump may give some illegals a second chance hearing of America lawyers are culpable.

If most of the illegal aliens, are otherwise honest people, as the left has said, not showing upper their hearings may have been due to them following, what they felt was the law, as interpreted by American lawyers and judges in the sanctuary cities and states. The Left could have screwed them, for political pawns, to set up a confrontation with Trump, they hoped would result in negatives polling for Trump. If this is true, leaders of sanctuary cites will get an appeal, but they have to show up; training film for illegals to obey the law.

The most efficient way to remove illegal immigrants would be to mandate the use of eVerify - resulting in mass self-deporation. Unfortunately, that is not likely to happen since it requires congressional action. Congress critters of both partries seem intent on keeping immigration (legal or not) as an "issue" since that reults in a re-election rate of over 90%.

It almost makes you wonder why eVerify doesn't have enough supporters in Congress. Almost.

What was right? Aside Trump is a braggart who talks a lot of **** and rails against those who are against him? That's his schtick.

President's shouldn't have a schtick. They should have sound policy and be able to share their vision and path forward based on facts. Governing by schtick, man I have heard it all.

Interesting.

Eisenhower led the deportation of 1.1 million back to Mexico in 1954, if they could deport over a million in less than a year then,
they can easily do it now!

Isn't this what you're supposed to do with illegal immigrants?

Oh, I think he'll do it.

He needs whatever distractions he can get.

Absolutely right. Trump will get more and more desperate and dangerous as impeachment hearings are really starting to loom larger every day.

I watched Congresswoman Katie Porter last night on MSNBC. I had been impressed with this Junior Congresswoman when I first watched her questioning Jamie Dimon in a Congressional hearing. Jamie Dimon is a billionaire CEO of J.P. Morgan. She took him to task on what a living wage is. She's an attorney and law professor from California. I can honestly say, that since that day that I watched her questioning Jamie Dimon, and subsequently watching her in other Congressional hearings, I have to say that I haven't been this impressed with anyone in Congress since.... ever.

Katie Porter was one of the hold out democrats for moving forward with impeachment inquiries, until yesterday that is. She is the latest democrat to support impeachment hearings. I know that before she made this decision, she has done her research thoroughly. She is not only extremely knowledgeable, she speaks in a clear, succinct way that cannot be misunderstood or misconstrued. Her answers are spontaneous and crystal clear with no ambiguity.

Democrats: 3 easy steps to throwing an election.

You're very wrong, along with anyone else that believes that impeachment inquiries would actually help Trump win another term. Very wrong.
