Actually, you said the vast majority of Americans don't have 401Ks.

Now that you can't refute that any more, you're adding "of any significance."

That money is for retirement. It IS significant. I think you said the average 401K is $27,000. You were wrong. You are citing the median, not the average (which I believe is $35K?), and for 20somethings only. Northwest Mutual shows for those in their 30s, the median is $77K; for those in their 40s, it's $162K; in their 50s, $600K. Etc. (Remember, that's the median for each. The averages are significantly higher.)
