I have never said that. I simply offered a very moderate and reasonable opinion that they should not compete in women's sports because of the obvious biological advantage.
No Dr tells a patient that they can change their bio sex. Drs do what is medically possible with current technology to make the body conform to the person's gender identity. The patients are well educated about it and can walk away or get a 2nd-3rd opinion if they choose to do so. This is also why there are mountains of treatment waivers to be signed after the patient is educated about treatment decisions.
