Reagan had 6 shutdowns before the 1984 elections. Maybe that's why he won in a landslide.

Trump is showing his clear leadership abilities.

Sorry but DACA has nothing to do with the budget. Passing laws closing loopholes is prudent in preventing the problem requiring DACA in the first place. He is right not to agree to DACA until congress solves the problem that created a need for DACA.

Trump is right again. Solving the problem that created a need for DACA is part of the budget. DACA is not

The money to secure our border is part of our budget.
The money to put people in place to remove people here illegally and prevent millions of illegals from being in this situation requiring DACA is part of the budget.

You need to tell the president a month ago that DACA has nothing to do with the budget. Those were his terms.

Says a person who waves away the worries of hundreds of thousands federal employees and their families who are used as pawns by corrupt politicians.

I talk to my representative often, thank you. Our dogs are best friends.

Did they tell you that they care more about illegal aliens than you or your family?

Since I'm a 1st genner and there are still family members coming...some going. Like my uncle a scientist with the cdc. Gone as of June 1st, with his tufts medical school grad daughter and his Harvard law grad son. My uncle a man thats been here since he was 9 convicted of pot possession at 20 he was refused citizenship now another country will benefit from what most would consider a good citizen. So yeah my take is different.
That's interesting to me because when I was about 20, I too was busted for smoking a joint. So now I need an INS Waiver to enter the US. I get them regularly and aside from the cost, its not a big deal. The bottom line here is though, he broke the law. I did too...and I live with it.

The wall was 1st on my list because that's what I hear most about so it's most prominent. And I'll say it again i think it's a waste of money. I would like more innovative technology and enforcement.
If a border state wants a wall along some portions of there state then have their reps go to Congress and ask for it. I'm fine with that as the locals would know more about what they need than anyone else.
Well that's at level headed. But I believe California is the only boarder state that doesn't want the wall built. Id be OK with a wall that extends to California and stops. They can handle the deluge of illegals. I'm quite sure they'd just love that.

I have no problem with replacing the lottery with merit based immigration. But a firm no from me on ending family immigration.
Tell me...why should a person who's been granted the privilege of living and working in the US, be allowed to bring his entire family there? What benefit to the nation does this produce? It smacks of 'anchor-baby' migration.

Are you saying the dreamers have criminal records? You can't be that ignorant can you?

Are you saying some of them don't? You can't be that ignorant can you?

Sanctions have never been a tool of any particular political party. Your posts are more canned than tuna. The president disregarded Congress because it would be inconvenient for him to stop blowing your co-president in Russia.

That's pretty immature... don't ya think?

I agree with making the punishment fit the crime. I'm not in favor of going extra hard on the wealthy simply because they are well off. Your basically advocating class warfare to punish them for a failure of our gov. These people should not be here for them to be able to hire and that falls on our gov.

I disagree, unless you advocate government crawling into all aspects of our lives. Why should anyone want government to be responsible for our actions?

Just how Orwellian do you wish to be?

To assist those committing a crime, is a crime in itself. To give jobs to these people enable them to stay, and creates a demand for more illegal action.

I agree with charging employers. I don't agree with it being draconian about it.

It at least has to be a huge enough fine to kep them from doing it.

If they save $100,000 a year, and are only fines $1,000... It's just part of the costs of doing business for them.

You have issues.

Actually it appears cons have the issues with underage kids and beating their wives. Sorry that you don't like your ilk for what "they" are.

It's definitely not limited to political affiliation. Hen-pecking each individual event doesn't solve any problems.

Right? I don't even know how to talk to that poster productively. He's mad at me for being a "leftist" but is unable to explain why. He rambles about the Democratic party that has little to do with me. And we're supposed to pretend that the Republicans who elect a president who sexually assaults women, who nominate a child molester to the US Senate, and who take the side of a wife beater aren't the ****tiest people on the planet?

"Hen-pecking"? More than twenty years later, you people are still spit mad about Bill Clinton. Yet you currently, today, sell your political capital, your nonexistent moral standing, and your very souls to support the worst people who walk among us. It's so disgraceful that I honestly don't understand how the president and his supporters can even look at themselves in the mirror.

Clinton and his wife have committed many crimes and caused the deaths of many people over the last twenty years.

You and yours are brainwashed by an ideology that is based on nothing but lies. You all parrot those lies any chance you get.

Oops. You just ****ed up. Unsurprisingly. I never supported either Clinton. I was a preteenager when Bill was president (that means I couldn't vote since you need help understanding). I also never cast a single vote for Hillary in any primary election or last year's general election. So I was right that I am morally superior to you. Thanks for helping me confirm that. Keep supporting your sick president and his raping, lying, beating, perving cronies. I'll be up here on the high road where there's almost no traffic.
