This is a company that some how managed to put deleted pictures for a 5+ years ago, back on peoples phones.. even phones with new owners and apple accounts. This is a company that still blames users for the massive celeb photos leak years ago... citing "bad passwords"... Not sure the family of Jamal Khashoggi or many other dissidents in the Middle East would agree with Apples "security". Of course Apple blames 3rd party apps.. which is hilarious copout. Oh and lets not forget.. iPhones and Macs went for a very long time without SSL encryption due to a software copy-paste "bug". Just saying....

For an economy to work, there must be both producers and 'consumers'. The 'consumers' typically work to be able to purchase goods. Supporting American companies that hire workers elsewhere and then sell goods in your country at extremely high profits works...for the corporations. When US manufacturers take their plants to other countries to exploit cheap labor, ti causes the collapse of economies. Detroit is a prime example. Nike makes products in sweatshops around the world for 10-12$ and then sells those shoes here for hundreds of dollars. It costs Apple roughly 400$ to produce a phone elsewhere that is then sold here for thousands. The economy is missing the worker base.

Hahah this idiot. Even with a 25% tariff, the iPhone is way cheaper to make outside the US.. all he is doing is making the iPhone more expensive in the US and knowing Apple they will try mitigating that, by jacking up prices world wide.

Several points:
1) Congress gave the president the power to invoke tariffs on national security grounds. Apple has been making iPhones abroad for decades. There is no national security rationale for such tariffs. If this threat happens, Apple should sue on the grounds that Trump has no authority to do so.

2) Analysts at Evercore ISI said in April they didn’t see iPhone production moving into the U.S., “as the higher labor costs alone would drive a >50% increase in iPhone manufacturing costs” — double the tariff Trump is now threatening to put on Apple.

3) Since when does a president have the authority to target one company? That sounds like an illegal bill of attainder. Does Trump have his hand out looking for a bribe? Or is he mad that Apple didn't buy into his crypto money-making scheme?
