I have started threads about it. They universally get hijacked by gun control zealots. Too bad there isn't an entire subforum dedicated to the problem, which is much bigger than the gun homicide problem and would be easier to solve through politics.

It's strange that you have exactly the same nonchalant attitude about easily-preventable highway deaths that you accuse other people of having regarding guns.

You would be wrong. It's more of a behavioral/societal issue than banning the weapon of choice. For someone to get it in their mind, that to kill innocent people in large numbers is the only way out or somehow justify it in their minds is NOT normal behavior. They are sick.

You are not going to be able to remove guns from law abiding citizens in this country....not gonna happen. For the idiots who bring guns to bars, parties, family gatherings, get mad and start indiscriminately shooting people. These type are simply ignorant of gun safety, proper use of firearms and control of their temper.

The criminal element will always have access to guns on the black market or literally everywhere. Admittedly more needs to be done through gun safety and the proper use of firearms. Filling out the paperwork, going through the waiting period and achieving a gun without anyone teaching or assuring they know how to use a firearm if begging for trouble.

I don't have all the answers, but the political game of using 'guns' to win over voters is sick and hypocritical, imo.

I'm not but don't tell me you're law abiding when you have a pistol under your pillow. What is the use of having them if you don't have immediate access to them? Oh, excuse me home invaders but can you hold up a minute until I unlock my gun safe and get my shotgun.

I don't need immediate access to all my guns, but I still have a "use" for having them.

You seem to have twisted yourself into arguing the practicality of keeping guns readily accessible.

What I'm arguing is many lawful gun owners break the law by not having ALL of their guns locked up and some keep them under the pillow. I'm 'thinking' like a gun owner, what's the sense of having one if I can't get to it immediately, right?

That needs to be reduced on appeal. 35 cents sounds about right. I mean, I'm sure the Saudis can pay the full amount. But why should some horse-faced bimbo get a payout just for lying about Mr. Trump?

That is incorrect. I do not whine. I correct untrue statements.

I am not aware of Mr. Trump being called names. But knowing the way that progressives rely on name-calling instead of on facts and logic, I'm sure it happens.

I also do not recall ever complaining about such a thing. And I have a pretty good memory.

And I'm not a Republican. You should look at my avatar periodically.

That’s because a law stating they have to keep them locked up is unconstitutional, and has already been ruled unconstitutional.
