Trump Tells Christians They Won’t Have to Vote in Future: ‘We’ll Have It Fixed’

At the Florida summit, hosted by conservative group Turning Point Action, Trump promised that if he wins in November, he would “once again appoint rock-solid conservative judges who will protect religious liberty.”

By "rock-solid conservative judges who will protect religious liberty," Trump means religious fanatics like Sam Alito who won't rest until every child in America is forcibly indoctrinated with Alito's backwards, constipated, and warped version of Christianity.

Every generation thinks theirs is the most consequential, most dramatic, most fraught.

This era is unique in that misinformation can flourish in siloed, reinforcing channels which irresponsible thought leaders exploit for personal gain.

Demagogues have always been around (e.g., Father Coughlan, Rush Limbaugh), but there were mitigating influences: national news broadcasts by responsible (although often blinkered) journalists (e.g., Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite).

More than ever, people need to learn how to think critically. It's a skill that must be taught and learned. People generally aren't born with it.
 
Absolutely true, but wanting the government to fix it and then not holding them accountable FROM BOTH SIDES is accomplishing nothing and instead we march closer and closer to another world war. I can tell you one thing, any government that is tightly woven with Big Money, Big Media, Big Arms Industry, Big Banks, Big Pharma etc., etc. really doesn't care what the people want, and doesn't need to. So, in the case of America, there really is nothing we can do about it.
 

I’m not precisely sure where you’re heading with the above.

I’m a pragmatic realist trained in collecting and parsing data through deductive reasoning to produce truths that, when critical thinking is applied, can result in fact based conclusions/analysis.

I am also a history buff, who can use the above to plot trend lines in our history, compare them to trending in current events, to see where and how today compares to yesterday.

We are repeating behaviors/trends we have in the past. Only an unrealistic person believes repeated behavior doesn’t have a high percentage of producing like/similar end results.

this seems to be mostly lost on this forum; the Political parties are beholden to the Monied Elite. they play the dialectic with you, i.e. the Left vs the Right dividing and conquering the sheep.

in the end, they will conquer us and bring about world wide Fascism; it doesn't really which party gets us there as that is the direction of the Elite.

It's child's play to pick out behaviors/trends that reinforce an outlook we want to have. I'm not saying that in the fullness of time your vague "predictions" won't generally be substantiated in some form or fashion. I'm just pointing out the pitfalls of this ever-popular pastime.

I interpret this as saying that after 2024 there won't be elections. I don't know how the meaning could be different and Trump didn't clarify. He's saying the quiet parts out loud.

What is that with him not being Christian?
