Trump supporters, a simple question for y'all. Do you feel you are 'owning' the libs?

(The left) MAGA treats everyone as a monolithic block based on skin color or ethnicity.

What's the most recent record and who is being deported.
Those who break immigration law.

British:
German:

Don't point fingers of accusation when you are the guilty one
That goes for Canadians as well.

I know that's a huge thing to many trump supporters, you can still here it today right here on debate politics. So, how's it going so far? Your non responses and/or excuses will say it all.
Honestly, I don't think of it that way. We have different opinions on politics. I don't hate anyone. Well, I do hate one guy but that has nothing to do with politics and probably is very unhealthy. Anyway, I think of what is best for my family and our belief system. I have my political views due to how I was raised and the belief system that I will take care of my family. My family means my wife and daughter but also my brother, sister and their families. I take care of one cousin and one uncle. It would make an interesting thread if a poster created a thread asking people to explain why they have their political beliefs.

Matters just got worse. A lot worse as the full force of Trump's tariffs take hold today.

From this day forward, things will gradually get more difficult.

Trump and friends brag about the fact that the federal coffers will increase by the billions. They don't mention the fact that American consumers, importers, and businesses will be paying the billions to Trump's government.

Republicans will continue their silence. They are busy looking for rocks to crawl under. They are responsible for this.

The AP reports, "Trump began imposing higher import taxes on dozens of countries Thursday just as the economic fallout of his months long tariff threats has begun to cause visible damage to the U.S. economy.

"Just after midnight, goods from more than 60 countries and the European Union became subject to tariff rates of 10% or higher. Products from the EU, Japan and South Korea are taxed at 15%, while imports from Taiwan, Vietnam and Bangladesh are taxed at 20%.

"Trump also expects the EU, Japan and South Korea to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in the United States. (???)

"So far, however, there are signs of self-inflicted wounds to the U.S. as companies and consumers brace for the impact of the new taxes.

"Hiring began to stall, inflationary pressures crept upward and home values in key markets started to decline after the initial tariff rollout in April, said John Silvia, CEO of Dynamic Economic Strategy.

“I think the growth is going to be unprecedented,” Trump said Wednesday. He said the U.S. was “taking in hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs,” but did not provide a specific figure for revenues because “we don’t even know what the final number is” regarding the rates."

If Trump's tariffs were not so tragic for our country, I would be laughing my fool head off at that incredulous statement.

His base will believe it.

Trump is an idiot surrounded by idiots. He lies to his rural base because he knows they will believe him.

This last line is great...and I might agree with him.

WARNING: harsh language

I think at the very least the "insults and deflections" go both ways. It certainly seems the left side had a huge lead on insults here though.
It's all the left has right now so actual conversations have become non-existent or boring. No matter what the topic, the left won't/can't actually discuss. It's been reduced to just angry snark.

The left is so very agitated (more than ever) by Trump and his constant action that opposing Trump has become more than a full-time job. And, importantly, the left are so consumed by their anti-Trump feelings, that their "wishful thinking" but oh so wrong assumptions that all voters are feeling diminishing support and confidence in Trump and team, have consumed them. Many a Trump voter hasn't felt better about the direction of this country in decades.

As far as the thread title, "owning the libs" doesn't properly reflect the vibe of those who support Trump and his better than ever dreamed of motivation and effort on many fronts. We wanted things fixed/changed/addressed and the swamp cleaned out - and Trump is exceeding our expectations. As just one example, the border is more secure than it's ever been. Deportations are well underway and in recent polling, Americans are increasingly liking that. The Dems thought they had a "message" about the "method" of deportations but, suddenly, that is all but a dying message. And I think even the Dems are recognizing that will be a losing narrative because they are quieting down considerably on how "mean" the deportations supposedly are.

Now we have Dems freaking out about Texas redistricting and removing illegals from census counts. Yet, meanwhile, the topic has brought into full focus how successful Dems have been with redistricting in states like Illinois, California and more. It's remarkable to look at states north of New York, learn what percentage of the vote Trump got in these states and how very few GOP representatives there are. And right away, Dems are back to talking about adding states and packing SCOTUS. Finally, the GOP is just beginning to understand that when they are in power, they should, can, and even must make moves which will create a more equal playing field. And Dems are beyond furious that the GOP is FINALLY understanding this.

This is not necessarily a good thing. This can be attributed to many things, some positive, but in this specific case, it seems to be negative, as the MAGA movement is agreed to be reducing itself, slightly or in a major way depending on who you ask, to the most vehement supporters of Trump, turing away the people not fully involved in itself. According to a recent study:
However, Donald Trump still retains solid leadership among his most fervent followers. Among those who identify as MAGA supporters, 97% approve of his performance, a figure that has remained stable over time. Meanwhile, among other sympathizers, support for the president is slipping: approval has dropped by 18 points since January, while disapproval has risen by 21 points.
It is also to be noted that the republican party members have began to show a decent amount of dissatisfaction with Trump's administration for one reason or another, and within independents the sentiment of dissaproval is widespread. A recent survey by Statista yielded the following results.

It remains to be seen how this develops.
We wanted things fixed/changed/addressed and the swamp cleaned out - and Trump is exceeding our expectations.
I do not wish to appear ignorant, but did MAGA members wish for an economic recession and the reduction of safety nets for the poor? If so, why?
Deportations are The Dems thought they had a "message" about the "method" of deportations but, suddenly, that is all but a dying message. And I think even the Dems are recognizin well underwayg that will be a losing narrative because they are quieting down considerably on how "mean" the deportations supposedly are.
There have been different approaches to the deportation methods, and even though it is true some democrats, mostly the ones closer to the political center have dropped the issue.
However, the main critics of trump have been not only not "quieting down", but becoming more vocal and inspective of news regarding the subject. See cases such as Alligator Alcatraz, that have gained traction as of late for the almost cartoon villain level of intentional harm within the proposal.
Yet, meanwhile, the topic has brought into full focus how successful Dems have been with redistricting in states like Illinois, California and more.
The consensus upon this topic seems to be that democrats were not in fact the main starting force for redistricting. Many analysts agree that, in fact, the democrats have done a U-Turn on their policy up to this point, mostly focused on allowing local independent comissions to redistrict states at their own discretion, because the Trump administration has practically bulldozed every legal barrier that limited their faculties. As The Atlantic newspaper remarks in a recent article titled "How Democrats Tied Their Own Hands on Redistricting"
Now that Republicans, at the behest of President Donald Trump, are moving quickly to redraw district lines in Texas and elsewhere in a bid to lock in their tenuous House majority, Democrats want to match them seat for seat in the states that they control. But the knots they’ve tied are hard to undo.
It's remarkable to look at states north of New York, learn what percentage of the vote Trump got in these states and how very few GOP representatives there are.
This is not related to the democrats doing anything, but the way districts have historically tended to concentrate republican populations in very specific areas (AKA Gated white communities), and democrats being mostly spread out due to their variety in types of supporters.
Finally, the GOP is just beginning to understand that when they are in power, they should, can, and even must make moves which will create a more equal playing field. And Dems are beyond furious that the GOP is FINALLY understanding this.
In my opinion it is the other way around. Isnt it a main MAGA talking point that democrats dont do anything of note? I also doubt removing constitutional checks and balances to the president is "creating a more equal playing field".

did MAGA members wish for an economic recession
Dang, we're in a recession in the U.S.? I better go get caught up on today's news as this is new to me. That's terrible news.
