Trump suggests Canada become 51st state after Trudeau said tariff would kill economy

When did he do that? I wasn't aware.
When he decided a free-trade agreement between Canada and the US wasn't binding when HE was in the White House. He put tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminium while NAFTA was in place, making John Deere et al pay more for raw materials than Kubota et al. Brilliant, huh.

This is why I love President Trump. This is also why the Left hates him. He has brass balls, the Left has ***** hats. (but... but... but... Trump is Putin's puppet!) :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

President-elect Trump suggested to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last week that if a tariff for failing to address trade and immigration issues would kill the neighbor to the north’s economy, maybe it should become the 51st state, sources told Fox News.

Last Friday, Trudeau flew to Mar-a-Lago unannounced after Trump threatened to impose sweeping tariffs on Canadian products. Specifically, Trump is threatening to impose 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico over their failures to curb the flow of illegal immigrants and illicit drugs from those countries into the U.S.

Canada knows where its bread is buttered. Trudeau would grovel to Greg Abbott if Texas was a state. How’s he going to deal with President Trump?

if i were trudeau i'd point out how inflation will increase if trump puts his threatened tarrifs on canadian imports.
trump is an economic idiot, but maybe he will eventually figure it out.

Canadians laugh at us and rightfully so.

Canada’s tiny economy means Trudeau doesn’t get to point out anything. He gets to fly to Florida, burning more fossil fuel most Canadian do in a year, and beg Trump to reconsider, and that’s what has happened.

The provincial governments’ ownership and of the softwood industry would have nothing to do with Canadian opposition to the tariffs. It’s all in the name of free trade.😀😂🤣

Yes President Trump would be so much better off listening to you! 🤣🤣🤣

of course he can point out things.

U.S. goods imports from Canada totaled $436.6 billion in 2022,

a 25% tariff would be over $100 billion of extra cost to americans.
or are you volunteering to cover that for all of us? lol

but sure, lets see if trump is anything more than just a big mouth or if he backs down, as he has done so often, from his promises. Did mexico pay for the wall yet? lol

I guess there’s not much else to do up there in the winter except live their live’s through us.

well based on your ignorance, no doubt that is your guess.

Oh look, another semi-literate rightist with a single-digit education.

Cheeses Griste.
Free trade and tariffs go hand in hand, in your mind at least.

And Canada doesn't export much in the way of consumer goods. Mostly wood, metals, oil, parts, stuff American manufacturers use to produce.

And electricity for our East Coast.

Now to be 25% more expensive.

No, pointing out the fact that trump did want to purchase Greenland
Nobody ever explained why this was stupid, illegal or undoable... or anything else like that.
and now talks about forcing Canada to become part of the United States indicates great stupidity on his part.
Forcing?

Imagine actually loving a politician, especially a notorious POS like Trump.
This is why people call you people cultists.

Nobody cares what they are called by the name callers.

He won, and that's what matters to his voters.

I think you've discovered why Trudeau flew to Florida to beg Trump not to impose his trade policy.

Yeah, that was a weak move on Trudeau's part. He should have just promised double the tariff on all products.

I am beginning to form the opinion that Canadians have an inferiority complex.

Cheer up, I'm sure Canada has some good points too. It's just that the weather ain't one of them. 🥶 🥶 🥶

Once again a 'True American' reveals their ignorance about the climate of America's northern neighbour.
Dude, all you have to do is look on a map. 🥶 🥶 🥶

Have the Liberals managed to move it somewhere else? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

They should export what they have the most of; ice. 🥶🥶🥶

Y-e-a-h, I'm certain that is the reason.

So you think something other than Canada's hopeless reliance on the US as an export market is motivating Trudeau?🤣🤣

We take our daughters to Whistler on occasion. You always see rental cars or American license plates there because Canadians can't afford to ski under Trudeau.
