Trump supporters like to say we hate Trump, but the real thing is Trump is the one who hates and he shows it in practically every thing he does. He started it during his nomination process when he spewed hate at all of his rivals and his future supporters loved him for it as they then had someone to hate. Then in his rallies he again spouted hate at his opponents and others as well and his growing supporters loved him for it and yelled things like. "lock her up". As president he has used his tweets to spew hate and his supporters loved it and became entrenched behind the cult of Trump. He was wonderful to them as he gave them a focus for their hate. And the latest hate filled speech at the last of his rallies to date he spewed hate at a dead man and his followers loved it and even laughed and cheered. So when I hear a Trumpsters complain about people hating Trump I do not know whether to laugh in their face or cry, because Trump and his followers seem to be the ones filled with hate for everyone that is not like them. People ask how can so many vote against their own needs, but their greatest need seems to be hating those "others".

they just love to deny criticism with accusations of bias. so does trump, it's basically all he does when caught doing something idiotic.

Hitler did the same thing. He said, "these are the people you need to be afraid of and I'm the only one who can save you from them".

It's what dictators do, which is why trump loves them so much.

The never Trump movement came before all of this. Plenty of hate here. Trump has never started a battle he has only responded! He doesn't take crap from anyone especially the loosing side.

I'm sure Hitler would allow his daughter to marry a Jew. I'm sure Hitler would support Israel.

This comparison of Hitler to Trump is one of the most disgusting things I see on the forums. I realize you are on the side of the anti-semitics so you probably haven't stopped to think about what you are saying. Do I need to show you pictures of what Hitler did? Do I need to send you a history book?

The problem with the internet is we get to look into the minds of the most confused closed minded people in the world. It’s like a stroll through an intellectual wrecking yard.

Doncha hate that?

Since Trump is a demonstrably vile and monstrous human being, please explain why 'Never Trump' isn't a viable sentiment. The very notion implies that acceptance of Trump should be the norm. Which is a laughable, detestable, morally bankrupt notion.

And it's not that Trump's followers don't know and believe he's vile. They do. They just think, falsely, that he is acting in their best interest with his vileness. Evangelicals are trying to fulfill their apocalyptic vision using Israel. Standard 'Greed' Republicans are getting their tax cuts and deregulation. The Federalist Society is getting their fringe anti-abortion judges.

Everyone is using everyone, with Trump being a vehicle for the a far-right-wing fascist agenda.

Trump gets spied on and set up but leave it to Dems to make Trump the hater......Dems are broken

Leftists never had a GOP'er fight back against their slander and hatred. So naturally the left becomes unhinged. DJT is a master at dishing back making their heads explode.

Some critics of His Excellency, the President, do actually hate him.

I have just read this morning that Mr. Robert De Niro, the movie actor, said that he hopes that someone pours a bucket of [deleted by poster] over the Chief Executive's head.

If I had my druthers, I would not arrest Mr. De Niro, but I would issue him a citation for genuine "hate speech" and require him to appear in court to be fined a hefty amount.

The hate of many so-called "liberals" is palpable.

If you don't think the same thing is happening on your side you may want to go to a beginners forum.

The scary thing is that this is how many serial killers start out. I think liberals are the biggest threat to this country. De Niro should be investigated as should many of these far left loonies. It's just a matter of time before it's not just words.

Half of Trump's biggest supporters in Congress were Never Trumpers before his control over the party became inevitable. Most people know what the man is. Some just refuse to acknowledge it because they value their careers more than they do their reputations or the health of the country.

The phrase axis of evil was first used by President George W. Bush in his State of the Union address on January 29, 2002. He was referring of course to foreign governments that sponsored terrorism and sought weapons of mass destruction. Today, the phrase 'axis of evil' is more appropriately applied to Trump. Hate has three components, negation of intimacy, passion, and commitment.

Slide1.jpg

The first potential component of hate is the negation of intimacy. Negation of intimacy in hate is characterized by repulsion and disgust. Whereas intimacy involves the seeking of closeness, the negation of intimacy involves the seeking of distance. Often distance is sought from a target individual because that individual arouses repulsion and disgust in the person who experiences hate.

A second potential component of hate is passion, which expresses itself as intense anger or fear in response to a threat. Anger leads often leads one to approach, fear to avoid, the object of hate. Propaganda may depict the targeted individuals as an imminent threat to approved society, and one that should be feared because of this threat.

The third potential component of hate is decision/commitment, which is characterized by cognition's of devaluation and diminution through contempt for the targeted group. The hater is likely to feel contempt toward the target individual or group, viewing the target as barely human or even as subhuman. The goal of those who foment hate is to change the thought processes of the preferred population so that its members will conceive of the targeted group(s) in a devalued way.

Hate — Robert J. Sternberg

I've been familiar with Trump the millionaire/billionaire playboy for more than 40 years. I knew there was something 'not right' with him but didn't realize how profoundly 'not right' he really was.

Were you feeling hate when you wrote this?

No, disgust at a man who is so full of himself and hate for everyone who he sees as better than him in some way. I like the old saying, hate the sin and not the sinner. I do not hate trump as that is just a waste of time and effort. Do I hate what he has done to this country, i.e., the sin, yes. And Trump does not wait for someone to start a fight to go to hate, look at when he was running for the nomination and the name calling that you people seem to love so much. So I did not feel hate when I wrote this OP, but I did it to point out to Trumpsters the real hater so they could take a good close look at themselves. Trumpsters see anyone saying something negative about Trump as hating him and do not see the actuall hate in trump and through him themselves.

They hate him because they know he's right. Second coming of Ronnie Reagan I tell you.

trash talking and insulting opponents I would never call "hate". It is little more than the ball game type of talk people use. You hear worse between Auburn and Alabama fans.

The hatred dumped on Obama was8 years of constant criticism and he was an honorable, decent, compassionate man. You cannot even say that about Trump.

I find it funny when Trumpsters make my point for me, they talk about Trump's hate filled mouthings as fighting back instead of what they are, hate filled. And look at how you enjoy his hate filled mouthings, you are just full of glee. As I said, you make my point for me.
