And your point is? No one said the US is a company and that is completely irrelevant to the point which is our immigration policies and harrassing tourists has caused losses to the US economy. You seem to think that's no big dealHere's a flash for you. The US isn't a company.
Tourists who stay too long are, and that's about 750,000 every year. As for any other laws, you don't know, do you? Like attempted murder in Colorado?
Dems use of the word, "lying" so often is a sure sign of immaturity.
You don't give a damn about the tourism industry. You don't like that Trump is enforcing our laws. Some travel agents in other countries might worry about too. But you can relax. They'll get used to it, respect it, and the numbers will be right back up.And your point is? How do you know? Wasn't the guy in Colorado overstaying a tourist visa when he tried to kill a bunch of citizens with burning gasoline?Tourists overstayinh visas are not the population we are talking about so that is similarly irrelevant.
I take most of what you guys say as immature BS.Well, as long as you stop lying about Trump not bombing people, you know, cause he did and does, you can take it as a sign of whatever.

Immigrants who are working, contribute to our economy. Why should we have a policy to drive them out?And your point is? presumanly because it doesn't affect you.

Losing money is an investment? What on earth are you talking about? You would do well to understand the economy of the country. If "decreased revenue" is the price of getting tourists to understand and abide by our laws, it's a worthwhile investment.
What does this have to do with a decrease in international tourism revenue? You're not making sense. As to your second question, have you been in a cave for four years? Did the Russian that threw Molotov cocktails at citizens in Colorado escape your notice? Among the many things you don't seem to know is that overstaying a visa is a crime, and visa overstays (before biden opened the border) were half of the illegal aliens in the country.

What laws are TOURISTS breaking? How does Caesar's Entertainment losing revenue stop people from throwing Molotov cocktails, which is already illegal?
Make sense please. Thanks.

Tourists that overstay aren’t committing a crime its a civil violationHere's a flash for you. The US isn't a company.

The only thing they'll need to get used to is booking trips outside the US.What? Why would travel agents in other countries be concerned about this?
Who's going to get used to it, get used to what specifically? Are you talking about tourists?
So, you own a bar. Know how to stop your bar from being robbed? Lock the door. You don't give a damn about the tourism industry. You don't like that Trump is enforcing our laws. I know that feeling.Doesn't feel right to like that statement, but I agree that it's true.
Nah I’m thrilled that MAGA knows we’re right about immigration. It’s just hilarious how eager they are to embrace it when they think they just came up with this idea, themselves. After reading this thread, it seems the extreme anti-Trumps are disappointed ICE is being directed to go in a new direction, much easier on farm workers, hotel and restaurant workers.
It makes fiscal sense that they would go easier if businesses are suffering. Trump has already acknowledged that these policies were affecting farmers and hospitality businesses by removing "very good, long-time workers" who are difficult to replace. It's economically understandable why Trump has changed course. It's a matter of preventing economic disruptions. Makes more sense to go after criminal activities like human trafficking and drug smuggling.
Not that it matters, but my comment was in the context, to me, of being in a war. Of course we have bombed terrorists that attacked us, on specific instances.Sure, but it is a lie to say that the US hasn't bombed in years.

Think now, slowly. Foreign travel agencies have noticed that we are enforcing our immigration laws. They've put out "advisories." It's estimated that a number of tourists will follow the warnings in those advisories. The drop in tourism revenue to American businesses is estimated to be about 8% this year. That will cause some loss in tax revenue to the country. A loss in tax revenue can be considered to be the equivalent of spending. Therefore, enforcing our laws will have two effects; (1), a drop in business income and tax revenue and (2) greater adherence to the law going forward. Since that loss of revenue is the cost of a positive change in our society, the lost revenue can be considered an investment in our future.Losing money is an investment?
This is going to be a long post. You're predicting a loss in tourism revenue because the US has begun enforcing it's laws. What does this have to do with a decrease in international tourism revenue? You're not making sense.
Tourists are breaking two kinds of laws. Criminal laws such as the guy who had overstayed his visa and used the time to plan and carry out an act of attempted murder, and the act of purposely overstaying the visa. The other thing (among many) that you don't understand is that you have cause and effect reversed. See if you can figure that out before your next post on the subject. What laws are TOURISTS breaking? How does Caesar's Entertainment losing revenue stop people from throwing Molotov cocktails, which is already illegal?
No. I'm not going to spend my time doing an analysis of the number and types of crimes committed by visa overstays. We know, from Colorado, that some tourists commit crimes. Since a visa overstay can be anything from weeks to years, its a reasonable assumption that some of those people commit crimes.Gaius46 said:

@RetiredAtLast, what laws in addition to "overstaying visas" do you believe international tourists are committing in the USA? Be specific.
I don't know. You'll have to ask the guy who started this sub-thread.What? Why would travel agents in other countries be concerned about this?
Obviously, you haven't read much of this discussion. It was asserted that tourism revenue will drop because of some fears caused by the US enforcing it's immigration laws. Tourists and foreign travel agencies will get used to the new enforcement, and tourism revenues will increase again.Who's going to get used to it, get used to what specifically? Are you talking about tourists?
Apparently Trump’s sinking approval numbers on immigration have convinced him that actually immigrants are fine. At least if they’re working in politically relevant industries. Or maybe the LA protestors have won a round, who knows.
Trump Shifts Deportation Focus, Pausing Raids on Farms, Hotels and Eateries
It wouldn't surprise me at all.
Ave then we will see MAGA flip.over night to pretending they always supported that, and the Left will call it fascist.
"Civil law deals with behavior that constitutes an injury to an individual or other private party, such as a corporation."Tourists that overstay aren’t committing a crime its a civil violation
You know, don't you, that absolutely none of that has a damn thing to do with immigration? So, you own a bar. Know how to stop your bar from being robbed? Lock the door.
Wanting to operate a business with revenue, you don't lock the door. In a span of four weeks, your bar is robbed three times by people from the neighborhood and once by someone from out of town.
Do you stop serving people from out of town? Do you lock the door? Or do you beef up security?
You're a little late to the party. I've already said that the US bombs terrorists that attack us.Ah, I didn't realize when you said the US hasn't bombed in years, you meant within the context of a war. I guess bombing people doesn't count unless we declare war?
Weird story man. Just take the L and acknowledge Trump bombs people too.
