Trump sees disabling Iran nuclear site at Fordo as necessary

Actually he is; he's talking and talking and talking, creating agitation, anger and fear. People feel like things are out of anybody's control and nobody acts rationally in that kind of atmosphere.
Yep, ordering a carrier task force from one theater of operations to another on the other side of the planet is just talk. You're a fair bit lost in this adult world, aren't you? Well, I trust you'll find your way before too long. It'll be shown to you soon enough. But please continue with the entertainment. It helps in these difficult days. We're pledged to protect even those that don't have a clue about national security or global events. But you do supply some entertainment and that deserves a thank you.

Oh good! WMD, yellow cake...mission accomplished!

Rinse and Repeat!

Good thing Trump fired most of the capable military leadership from CENTCOM—otherwise, he might've heard something he didn't like and ended up completely confused!

Diving Mullah
False.

The change of the commander of CENTOM this month is routine and scheduled by the term of the appointment. The JCS made their recommendation of the next commander to Hegseth who sent it on to Trump who has sent it to the Senate for advice and consent.

The new Central Command chief is Navy Admiral Brad Cooper the deputy CENTCOM commander which is the norm. The current CENTCOM commander Army Gen. Michael Kurilla is retiring as scheduled. Cooper is former commander of the CENTCOM 5th Fleet who commanded multiple missions against the Houthis.

The new and regularly scheduled NATO Supreme Allied Commander is US Air Force Gen. Alexus Grynkewic. This reverses the moron Trump saying the US will no longer provide the NATO Supreme Commander. Gen. Grynkewich who is director of Operations for the Joint Chiefs was recommended to NATO by the Joint Chiefs, signed off on by Hegseth then sent to the Senate by Trump. Grynkewich is former commander of CENTCOM Air Forces.

Neither Hegseth nor Trump know these 35 year career guys from Adam. General and admiral promotions and job assignments are always done by the generals and admirals at the Pentagon who know who's who and what's what. The civilian SecDef and the civilian C'nC simply accept the recommendation, sign off on it and send it along for final confirmation by the Senate where a number of the brass are actually known from previous appearances, promotions, appointments. It's the Senate Armed Services Committee members who ask the informed and intelligent questions. Hegseth and Trump are a total disaster except to sign on the bottom line. They don't know anybody about it.

The US enters yet another Middle East war.

Nothing new really.
Except that the USA need not occupy Iran. That' what's new this time. Those notorious 'boots on the ground' can remain in their lockers while missiles and bombs destroy Iran's ability to export oil.

I had a twist added to this about an hour ago when a call came from a colleague and asked whether I knew if the UK status of certain assets was correct in some sort of platform [Twitter, I think] he'd seen posts about. Seems there may be some extra support from the UK showing up in that AO. I knew they had moved some air assets, but any extra is a bit of a surprise. I am guessing some serious discussion in Canada took place between those two leaders.

I am aware and I am appalled.

All but one in Greenland is at the Pentagon.

There are dozens and dozens of generals and admirals in the USA and abroad who remain in place and who are performing routinely. Their command staffs of generals and admirals remain in place performing routinely. There is no vast "purge" of the generals and admirals of the armed forces.

I know the bad of what's been done as indicated in your frantic and overwrought post that alleges a massive purge of generals and admirals across the armed forces at home and abroad -- that is not occurring.

Your posts overstate what has occurred and that has ceased.

FACT: As of this posting, your posts cannot produce any more names and ranks than you have now. The names you have now are from January and February, with a few from early March -- and not since. Indeed, there are dozens and dozens of generals and admirals routinely in place and doing their jobs. There is no "purge of the generals and admirals" across the armed forces. Your posts are overwrought and overstated.
