Trump Second Term Agenda

Trump is a Federalist and believes in state and individual rights. This is why the worse death states were led by Democrats, starting with NY. Trump did not impose big government control. Rather he offered to assist all the states. This made a lot of room for Cuomo an other Democrat states to make mistake after mistake.

The next step was to bring the economy back on line. Many Democrat states had so screwed things up, they were afraid to move forward. They are used to big government doing it for them. They hung white knuckled on the ledge for someone else to take the blame if this did not work. More recently, they saw success of other states and are coming along.

Trump did a unique thing in terms of Covid. He formed a partnership between government and business. Business has the best scientists due to their much higher wage scale. He tapped into this private pool and accelerated R$D to where therapies are coming off the assembly in record time. Big Government, traditionally, is too self important and would not allow itself to be showed up by the private sector, thereby squandering a chance at rapid success. Trump is about solutions and not pride and politics.

  • Seems like the same promises as 2016. He had 4 years to bring back jobs from China and create 10 Million New Jobs. He's admitting failure while trying to court voters with the same Lucy and the football technique -- 'I didn't do it in the first 4 years, but if you give me four more, I'll do it. Believe me.'
  • His 2017 tax-cuts didn't produce new jobs or new investment, as promised, but they did balloon the deficit. So now he wants to cut taxes again. What he didn't say is that those taxes are Payroll Taxes and cutting them will defund Social Security and Medicare. Also, cutting takes doesn't keep jobs in America. That's absurd.
  • Enact "Fair Trade Deals" that Protect American Jobs, means tariffs. When we impose tariffs, other countries impose counter-tariffs. Trump's tariffs were already such a failure that he had to payoff farmers with a bailout that was more expensive than the auto bailout.
  • I have no idea what "Made in America" Tax Credits means.
  • Trump wants to Expand Opportunity Zones. That was a way for rich real estate developers to invest in low income areas, which then drives up prices to the disadvantage of those low income residents and to the advantage of the developers. Kushner made millions this way.
  • Continue Deregulatory Agenda for Energy Independence, is code for "to hell with the environment and drill baby drill. It's a short-sighted and cynical plan.

I don't have time to critique the rest but it's the same.

His base only really cares about the rallies anyway; it's so "refreshing" to have someone make them feel justified in hating and fearing brown folks.:roll:

If the cheating works, I bet a lot of them won't be too happy in 2023, when Social Security sends them a sorry letter.... :shock:

Don't forget the role of Trump's failed trade wars in the botched federal "response" to the pandemic. Recall that at the time the pandemic was beginning, Trump was desperate for the appearance of some kind of deal with China (begging Xi behind the scenes to assist his re-election), so much so that he was willing to give away the store. So when the virus hit, he took no action and instead groveled to the Chinese.

Trump has never failed at anything, liberal LIES! Trump has a 110% success rate (BIGLY) and is the most honest and ethical man ever to live in 'murica! He's also by far the richest and best looking man to ever live, and wildly popular and succesfull with all women.
