Apparently it took him 5 months to realize Putin is stringing him along.

Of course, this has nothing to do with any actual policies. He's sending arms to Ukraine out of petty personal petulance.

MAGA is having a big fat hissy fit over it, of course. I guess they are learning a little too late that when you put a dictator into power, because you assume you know what he will do, sometimes he won't....

It would be an odd thing for the MAGAverse to assume they'll know what he's going to do when Trump fancies himself as an unpredictable person and has advertised himself as such.

So it looks like the script they're going with now is that Trump will say we're giving Ukraine more weapons, but the Hegseth will stop the transfer of weapons to Ukraine "without advising the White House".

Like all good partisans, they rationalize away as much evidence of contradictions and hypocrisies as they can.

I'd add that Trump is often vague, which is classic Cult of Personality behavior. Be sufficiently vague, so that your followers hear what they want to hear. If necessary, distract or lie about it.

Apparently, Ukraine and/or Epstein is a bridge too far for some of them -- in the short term. Don't worry though, they'll just blame underlings. Or the Jews.
