Is Trump hinting at a full pardon? I think he is. Trump has set the stage to do it and has manipulated the Department of Justice for his own ends.

Also note that Trump was in full clown face during his rambling speech in Las Vegas. It's clearly visible around his eyes, but very noticeable when he turns his head.

Trump says Roger Stone has '''very good chance of exoneration''' hours after sentencing
President Donald Trump said his former adviser Roger Stone has "a very good chance of exoneration," hours after the GOP operative was sentenced to 40 months behind bars for obstructing a congressional investigation of Russia's 2016 presidential election meddling.

"I'm following this very closely, and I want to see it play out to its fullest, because Roger has a very good chance of exoneration, in my opinion," Trump said Thursday in a speech in Las Vegas, where he also blasted the jury forewoman in Stone's criminal trial

“....Stone has a very good chance at exoneration.....”

He acts like maybe someone else has the power of the pardon.....

Any higher court could overturn the conviction, so, Yes someone else could effectively pardon Stone.
If no one else does, it looks like he will, but it sounds like he would rather not fade the heat of doing
the pardon, unless it is a last resort.

I’ve been curious as to why there was no motion to appeal after the conviction. If the fix is in, no need to waste the money on legal fees.

Is there any doubt Stone can murder his cellmate and Trump would still pardon him?

Another emotional outburst post....

We now know that the jury foreman was very biased against the president. Stone will probably get a new trial. If not......... ?

If “bubba” was a liberal.....I see Presidential Medal of Freedom.......

A case being overturned isn't a pardon but I know what you mean.

Winning on appeal is possible, but a retrial would probably be more likely. Most likely is that Trump will just hand out a "Get out of jail free" card like he does to friends.

Disagreed, but feel free to point out the "emotional outburst".

Thanks for the emotional response. :)

Agreed. Trump has a fetish about doing everything better than Obama, so there should be no doubt he wants to hand out more MOFs than Obama. That's 123, btw, the most ever. No doubt Trump wants to hand out more by a wide margin.

Going to the wacky side of posting? Now making up wild stuff? "murder" Yikes! :doh

It's a question. Sorry I upset you so much. Perhaps you should either put your computer away until you cool down or simply ignore my posts so you won't become so upset. :)

The ignorance by some Democrats on this thread is not surprising. Hate makes people stupid.

Roger Stone is appealing on the basis that the jury foreman lied under oath in jury selection. He is seeking a new trial for this reason. He could be exonerated at a new trial.

Only extreme stupid partisanship would interpret "exoneration" to mean "pardon." A pardon is not an exoneration.

I think Trump has entered Cruise’s character territory....

He’s going to push as far as he can, imo.

Maybe not. The reason no transcript is kept of jury deliberations is because it is known that jurors OFTEN disregard the judge's instruction and bring personal experiences, testimony and statements the judge instructed to disregard and bias into their decisions. It is very difficult to get a decision overturned even if an extreme juror bias is shown.

For example, in the Texaco case - that destroyed Texaco - after trial it was learned one of the juror's spouses has been fired by Texaco, with that juror having lied about this in jury selection. This was not considered basis for a new trial. The legal system does not want to know why jurors reached their decision.

I ‘spect you think Trump knows the difference?

According to a jury member, the foreperson put the brakes on the process........

Get the facts. Stone's defense could have removed the foreman from the jury during selection. They didn't. No grounds for a new trial.

The Obama appointed judge gave Stone only 40 months. Obviously she's just a tool of president Trump. Democrats in the House should immediately begin the impeachment process. Obviously she is NOT an independent federal judge and is totally controlled by President Trump.

I’ve been curious as to why there was no motion to appeal after the conviction. If the fix is in, no need to waste the money on legal fees.

That is exactly what it is. Trump has already assured Roger Stone a pardon. Stone will report to Club Fed for 2 weeks and then Trump will announce his get out of jail free card in time for the holidays.

Is there any doubt Stone can murder his cellmate and Trump would still pardon him?

Haha, even in that scenario everyone would blame the Clintons. Also the other President who exploited the Pardons was Bill Clinton. So much for the non-politician in office.

Dude is a grifter.

I think he was addressing his comment about seeing how it plays out. He wasn't talking about a pardon. Hence the claim of an exoneration. That wouldn't come in the form of a pardon.
He also believes Stone is going to get a new trial.

I'm sorry I just have to ask this, you live in Texas and took a picture of a twelve inch largemouth???

Up here we can't even keep those....

"Tomeka"? Foreman?

I see their problem.

And I do not keep that one ether, I think I took that picture because that was the first fish with a new fly rod.
That small creek has yielded bass up to about 5 lbs and catfish up to about 8 lbs.
I do not eat fish from that creek!

And as we all know, the Jury Foreman solely decides what the entire jury believes and votes, right?
