This will cheer most of you up.

Jamie Dimon may find himself the target of an IRS audit soon.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday went after the nation’s biggest banks, accusing them of discriminating against him in recent years as his administration weighs options for cracking down on perceived bias against conservatives in the financial system.

Trump said in an interview on CNBC that JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and others refused to accept more than $1 billion of his deposits. Trump said he eventually had to spread his cash across small banks “all over the place.”

JP Morgan didn’t want to host the accounts of a known fraudster. How completely unsurprising.

He is a known grifter. There's a reason only a shithole outfit like Deutsche was the only option for him after a point.
Not even Deutsche will lend him money. The last two American executives that did were both fired.

Can you imagine what your financials look like when *Deutsche* rejects you?

Worst. President. Ever.
There's not a more incompetent or idiotic world leader in the developed world at the moment. To find someone worse you have to browse a list of failed states.

Bias against conservatives? WTF is Trump babbling? Trump's deposits were rejected by banks, run by conservatives, based on fiscal conservatism.

MAGA isn't conservative. There's nothing conservative about the weird worship of one man.

Trump taught American banks that he was a bad risk long ago. Many times.

Nary a tear will be shed for the big banks

A pox on both their houses.

Yeah, Trump the life long conservative, oh wait.....

Like a bank is going to refuse $1 billion for political reasons?
Can we all agree that J.P Morgan Chase (assets 4.1 trillion) will probably survive without Trump's $1 billion?

I'm interested in the provenance of that money if big banks wouldn't accept it.

We need some Libertarians and MAGA folks in this thread to do some diversions and make up a bunch of excuses and attack a bunch of private companies.

Because they were never for capitalism and they were never for small government but they were definitely for massive corruption.

A financial institution is always better off without a bad risk.

Trump is a bad risk.

Maybe he'll nationalize both by EO. I sort of doubt that SCOTUS would try to stop him. It's not like he's helping someone to afford college or something.

In the meantime I'll step in to fill the role...

The largest non institutional shareholder of J.P. Morgan Chase* is a woke Democrat!!!!!!

MAGA**

This is called debanking. It is real.

Halperin: The Debanking Of Conservatives Is One Of The Most Undercovered Stories Of The Last 10 Years

OK, I can't bank at Chase, I'll bank at Bank of America. If you are debanked, you cannot bank anywhere.

"A very dangerous precedent": Debanking dispute politicizes financial system

February 7, 2025

"We're in a situation where under Democratic administration, banks are pressured to debank conservatives, and then under Republican administration, banks are under pressure to debank liberals. This is a very dangerous precedent that can easily cut both ways,” Omid Malekan, an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School, told Salon.
