The democrats have taken this outbreak as another way to attack the president. After all it is an
election year.

Trump says he will have a press conference at White House on coronavirus at 6 pm ET

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he will discuss the deadly coronavirus outbreak during a news conference at 6 p.m. ET with officials from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

What do you expect out of this press conference?

What do you expect out of this press conference?
I expect the president will say that the virus is like a mild cold and not deadly. Nothing to be concerned about.

Everything is fine and contained (according to Trump), so why the need for the press conference? After all, he already knows more than generals, doctors, lawyers, etc. :lamo

What do you expect out of this press conference?
Bull**** and lies mostly.
A full helping of political pandering.
A half portion each of hatefulness and narcissism.

What do you expect?

Oh Good Lord that is going to be a **** show.

What do you expect?
I expect nothing

Trump had no shortage of complaints about Oblama and ebola.

Trump in 2014 said Obama was 'a psycho' not to immediately cancel flights into the US amid Ebola outbreak in West Africa

He'll say what his handler Limbaugh said.. He said this is like the common cold, so it's nothing to worry about.

Of course if it does get worse than next week Limbaugh will blame the Clintons and Obama, so then the next day Trump will have another press conference and blame Clinton and Obama.

I suspect his press conference will be partly in response to Rod Rosenstein's sister calling the media in an effort to cause panic.

Jfft, let's remember that this is not a partisan concern, but one that is worldwide. Think of those who have taken ill, those who lost a loved one already.

Great! He will probably fire all the people at CDC and try to close down the agency, as he has done with others. Too much science for him.

I suspect his press conference will be partly in response to Rod Rosenstein's sister calling the media in an effort to cause panic.
The director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention talked to the media about a respiratory disease that's in the news?

Wtf are people thinking these days?

Why would "the news" even be talking to someone like the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention anyway?

At 6.09 PM Trump will read from a teleprompter as he usually does during is his rare press conferences. He will read and sound like a 4th grader giving a book report.

By 6.19 PM Trump will be taking shots at Obama, Judge Amy Berman Jackson, Bernie and CNN.

By 6.27 PM Trump will have said that he was fully exonerated by the Senate.

By 6.53 PM Trump will have attacked the CDC, NIH and other three letter federal agencies.

If he takes questions from the Press his responses will be pithy and generally devoid of real information.

By 7.00 PM Trump will have become angry. He will waddle off the stage.

By 7.05 PM Fox News will attempt to interpret what Trump said in his presser and will thank God for Trump's leadership and vision.

By 7.30 PM Trump will be copping a squat while eating a family size bucket of fried chicken.

I've spoken with doctor friends of mine, and this is their general explanation of the coronavirus as of now.

1. It's not as deadly as the flu.

2. However, it's far more contagious than the flu.

3. It shows signs of being a virus that might recur periodically over time with certain seasons, which could be it's most troublesome sign.

4. A vaccine should be relatively easy to compose.

4. So the elderly, the very young, and anyone with lung issues are at the greatest risk.

I expect the president will say that the virus is like a mild cold and not deadly. Nothing to be concerned about.

Oh please. You don't really believe that, do you?

Wrong question.

Why would Rod Rosenstein's sister call the media (phone conversation), with a panic button under her arm, when at the same time the administration gave a briefing on the Coronavirus status?

"Health and Human Services officials held a briefing to provide an update on the federal government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak. “The immediate risk to the general American public remains low, but as we have warned, that has the potential to change quickly,” said Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar, before talking about the steps the Trump administration is taking to prevent and mitigate a potential U.S. outbreak. Other officials briefing the press included National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci, Center for Disease Control and Prevention Principal Deputy Director Dr. Anne Schuchat, Assistant Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Robert Kadlec, and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. Stephen Hahn"

Apparently the media didn't cover that briefing but instead were all over the phone call they received from Rod Rosenstein's sister.

You wanna bet? Limbaugh is YOUR handler.

Jfft, let's remember that this is not a partisan concern, but one that is worldwide. Think of those who have taken ill, those who lost a loved one already.

Agreed, now do YOU want to make a bet that Trump DOESN'T make it a partisan concern?

What fantasy world do you live in? Wanna make a bet?

Agreed, now do YOU want to make a bet that Trump DOESN'T make it a partisan concern?

I'll take that bet. It will be like taking money from a baby. But, we're talking about the press conference, not about Twitter tweets. YOU are the one making it a partisan concern.

Pointing out that the President has blown this off as nothing big so far isn't partisan, it's the truth. You really should just drop the moderate from your name. You are no close to being moderate on ANY scale.

He's already tried to blow it off as nothing big. Now that it is, he is back pedaling.

It's not big now. We are being told that it PROBABLY will get big and that we should be prepared for it. Right now it is not a huge concern in the US at this current point in time.
