Memphis's turn for fascist occupation. Residents are about to learn the "we're from the government and we're here to help" lesson.

“I’m just announcing that now, and we’ll straighten that out, National Guard and anybody else we need,” Trump said. “And by the way, we’ll bring in the military too if we need it, but National Guard, but Memphis is, look, it’s a great, music city.”

It's okay. Both can be true.
Except the other statement isn't true. Simply having crime does not make a place a shithole. And sending in the armed forces is not going to help longterm. You have to deal with the root causes. You can't fight crime with force. It doesn't work in a free society.

Sounds threatening.
No. I'm fighting with my vote, my voice, my words. That's how I fight.

Why do you think it is okay to tell those who travel here illegally to fight to change their country but then suggest to Americans who don't agree with you, who want to fight to save our country that they should leave?

Maybe when Trump spoke of "fighting" that's what he meant too. Did you give him the benefit of the doubt?

Oh look, deflection. I'm not in charge of speaking to an angry mob that just believed months of lies I told then were pointed at a building that the mob then attacked. Context matters.

I wish a reporter would ask Trump about Saint Louis. We need this Big Dem shithole of a city cleaned up!
Counties with highest murder rates...

1-Orleans Parrish, Louisiana
2- Coahoma County, Mississippi
3- Philips County, Arkansas
4- St. Louis city, Missouri
tie
4- Baltimore City, Maryland
6- Petersburg City, Virginia
7- Macon County, Alabama
tie
7- District of Columbia
9- Washington County, Mississippi
tie
9- Dallas county, Alabama

I don't think that's the assessment. Specifically it's that some places in our first world country have crime rates comparable to third world countries and warzones.

Agreed.

You can't fight crime with force.

Disagree, though I'd agree it can't just be force.

It doesn't work in a free society.

I'd question what the value of a "free society" is if some places are bordering on unlivable for families, or places where public transportation is unusable due to crime and general public disorder/indecency.

Thank you for confirming Saint Louis City is a city.

Trump suggests a protester may get ‘the hell knocked out of her’

Former President Donald Trump called for a protester at one of his rallies to “go back home to Mommy” to “get the hell knocked out of her,” his latest instance of using violent language when confronted by demonstrators.

It is though. Notice how nothing else is being tried like perhaps providing actual federal law enforcement help to resolve any backlogs in data bases or providing more federal monetary resources of professionals to actually provide mental health evaluations of the citizenry and assess what will work. They aren't doing anything productive but rather putting on a show.

These places had higher crime rates in the 1990s.

Good! I have friends, family, colleagues and former business associates in Memphis and the surrounding area and they are all sick over the horrible crime statistics in Memphis and Shelby county. Law enforcement and the judicial system in the area have not protected the law abiding citizens for a myriad set of excuses. Once a great city it's now full of corruption and lawlessness coming from the local government not protecting the citizens. Many simply to stray far from their own neighborhood and certainly abstain from going out at night, even to the local grocery or Walmart. It's just too dangerous. Horrible killings have been in the news for years. Soft on crime and gang involvement are huge reasons for this and it would be wonderful if Trump were to send help because the local authorities are not doing their job. Biggest problem, decades of extremely feckless liberals in the mayors office, the prosecutors office and on the city council. Leaders who refused and continues to refuse to act to clean up the city. For years the Bluff City was known as the cleanest city in America, now it's one of the most crime ridden cities.

Face it folks, we have a lot of "shithole" cities in the US that need cleaning up. Who knew so many people like crime?

Oh, so military occupation of US towns and cities is fine now as anyone who objects obviously loves crime?

Let's start with where you live and flood it with marines.
