No not as opposed to not hiring people because of skin color. Just hiring on merit. Nothing based on skin color or sex.

But a lot of people did have an issue with discrimination - which is why we got the laws we did over half a century ago, along with affirmative action.

The policy now is removing the issue of skin color from hiring decisions.

So at the end of the day, Trump ended a discriminatory practice that caused tokens to be hired based on race in the name of 'equity'. No civil rights law has been revoked, rescinded, or altered, and no no civil rights enforcement has been denied.

Rescinding the DEI initiatives does absolutely nothing to the enforcement of the EEO or civil rights acts. Those offices in the government are un-impacted. DEI is a ****ing cancer. If people knew how many thousands of senior level administrative people have been hired into DEI roles to accomplish literally **** all...except to spend their days in a self congratulatory circle jerks TALKING about DEI...and if they knew how much that ridiculous initiative costs, they would have demanded an end to this long before Trump took office.

Federal agencies are governed by OPM. OPM maintains policy on EEO and Civil Rights initiatives. DEI has nothing to do with any of that.

Equal opportunity is what Trump objects to. This is what he wants to do away with:

LBJ's order gave the Secretary of Labor the authority to ensure equal opportunity for people of color and women in federal contractors' recruitment, hiring, training and other employment practices.

It required federal contractors to refrain from employment discrimination and take affirmative action to ensure equal opportunity "based on race, color, religion, and national origin."

White people with less qualification recieve jobs over black people with better qualifications.

EO 11246 was the first major linchpin of affirmative action. It mandated identity based discrimination including goals and timelines. Also known as quotas. Getting rid of this is a decent step in ending systemic racism at the federal level. See ya.

The problem with you is you’ve never considered that tons of white people are where they are not do to merit but things like the color of who their dad or mom was, or simply the color of their skin.

In actuality , merit has everything to do with equity, it means people compete on a fair and equitable playing field where you succeed based on merit .. not because your employer prefers to work with white people.
