Further evidence that Trump is in this just for himself, not the country. Turns out he was charging the Secret Service "exorbitant rates, far above what other similar rooms cost, when agents stayed at the hotel as the protective detail for Trump family members.”

Did he charge the same rates as he would regular guests? Maybe his properties have overpriced rates already.

Like it says in the article “ far above what other similar rooms cost”.

Who cares. He's a felon awaiting more serious trails about his attempt to steal the 2020 election.
A guy who built his career and first presidency based on lies, helping Putin, Tax cuts for corporation/wealthy, harming our federal government, pardoning his cronies, and extorting Zelinsky for help against Biden...
His own administration officials have admitted he's unfit for office, has no ideology, and his a buffoon.

He shouldn't even be legally able to run given his inability to pass a top secret clearance, his criminal record, and his awaiting trial for crimes against the United States.

That he is milking Americans via government for money, is just a drop in the ocean of his failures, crimes, and transgressions.
His supporters don't care, if it's good, Trump did it. If it's bad, Dems did it.

Trump's crimes? Democrats fault...lawfare.
Good economic? Trump's doing.
Bad economy? Biden's doing.
Both can be true depending on the news of the day of course.

Illegals destroying our country by get this...bringing in criminals?
And they want to elect a criminal as POTUS?

What a joke!

The government needs to file a lawsuit against Trump, seek a lien on his properties, and demand they be sold to cover the funds he fraudulently obtained.

The remaining balance can be forwarded to the municipalities he has cheated. If there is any left, it can be applied to his other debts.

Grifters gonna grift.

He better hope he gets elected president again, because otherwise he’s going to be so snowed under criminal and civil charges he will not see daybreak again.

But if he IS elected president again, well, then… America will get what it apparently so badly wants and deserves: a criminal felon running our country like some sort of giant organized crime operation.

Putin will be pleased.

Similar rooms at his own place? Or similar to other properties?

This is the relevant information:

The committee Democrats said the records include billing information from only 12 months of room rentals at the Trump Hotel, from September 2017 through August 2018. The report said the records show Secret Service paid more expensive prices — with taxpayer funding — than customers who reserved similar rooms on the same nights.

Sorry Tuesday is finished already. Can this wait till next week?

I travel a lot and I see the same rooms going for different prices all the time. What room exactly, matters, what view, what floor, when it was rented, how far in advance, how many stayed in the room, time of year, what extra's went with the room. So I'm not sold on this being anything illegal. However the U.S. government makes a habit of overpaying for everything from fighter jets to hammers and toilet seats. In addition I for some reason don't think Trump was actually involved in the bookings on those rooms. Try calling management or start using a better booking service.

Trump saw an opportunity to rip off Uncle Sam and he ran with it.

Criminals are going to commit crimes. That's how they roll.

Now our corrupt Supreme Court would say that Trump was acting in an official capacity and is immune from prosecution here.

See how this scam works?

The idea that a President would overcharge the people whose job it is to protect him just shows how low the bar has become now for conduct for Trump.

"Smart."

In other words, Trump stole from the US government. But who didn't already know this. Democrats have known it for years and Trumpers think it makes him tough and cool.

As with everything else, Trump will get away with it. And if re-elected, he'll do it again with no guardrails. He'll claim that housing his SS detail is part of his presidential duties. He'll probably triple the room costs. Trump is a thief.

Trump is a thief.

It’s what happens when you put a known convicted felon, traitor, and rapist in the White House.

In 2016, America had the excuse that we didn’t really know Trump, or when he said the sh-t he said he was just joking, or trying to trigger the libs, or he really didn’t mean it, etc, etc…

But we now no longer have that excuse. He has been found guilty of felonies, by a jury of his peers, in a court of law.

If, after all that, we still elect him, then we deserve what we get.

Pretty sure it was debunked back then.

I am sure if there was some debunking to be done you would have posted them by now, instead of reminding us of all this other litany of crimes Trump has committed.

But I think I understand why, instead of listing sources debunking these charges, you chose list the additional crimes to the one under discussion here. This is straight from the Trump playbook: to commit such a hailstorm of so many crimes, many of them so shocking and blatant, as to just completely overwhelm the system- and then when the legal system gets jammed and has trouble keeping up with it all, to claim that that means it’s all a witch hunt. And to be honest, it’s been a very effective strategy. They have managed to discredit our system of law enforcement and justice to an alarming degree so far.

But to give credit where credit is due, our legal system has been doing their best so far. The law may be slow, but it’s not stupid. I am sure it will take just take many more years for it to catch up to it all, however. It really is overwhelming.

So thanks for reminding us of all those other Trump crimes. But just to add to them further yet, it might help us to remember all this as well:
