No. State and local law enforcement agencies are not subordinate to the FBI, and the FBI does not supervise or take over their investigations.

Generally, the feds and states work together and charge accordingly where the best result can be achieved.

Which they cannot do unless the local authorities ask them to help, or unless congress authorizes the use of federal police to restore order (or the president if congress cannot convene, which they clearly can), per article 4, section 4 of the constitution.

The same party that simply realized several decades ago that White Supremacy was no longer a winning political strategy. So they started exploiting Hatred and Racism form the opposite direction. Replacing the KKK with BLM and others like them. But they are still the same nasty disgusting racists they were 100 years ago.

Yes there was a Big Switch. But it had nothing to do with the GOP. We are still the party of Lincoln, trying to treat everyone the same, and actually "judging people by the content of their character not the color of their skin".
