The GOP sold their souls and invested 100% in mango MAGAt magnet IMO for 2 reasons:

1) he carried with him an unshiftable, completely indoctrinated voting base.
2) he's politically ignorant (in the professional sense of policy, foreign relations, etc), malleable and opportunistic (been a Dem for a long time ) and can be manipulated to do what they want.

Except that...in his rage over the indictments and now, Harris, he's gone around the bend. He's nothing but rage and extremism and has stated he'll take revenge if he gets the WH back. His rage and need for vengeance and to prove he's "bigly the best and smartest ever" are out of control.

And that indoctrinated voting base wasnt enough to get him elected in 2020 and IMO wont be enough this Nov.

Yeah, I know one lady who had a funny little mole on her cheek several years ago. An initial biopsy showed that it was cancer, and her doctor had requested that she come back for more complete removal. She was afraid to go back, plus she was the conspiracy-minded type, and kept saying that it was probably nothing, and the doctors probably just wanted to keep doing surgery so they could bill the insurance company and keep making money. So she never went back.

Fast forward 5 years later: the cancer had eaten through her sinuses, through her eye socket (blinding her from invasion of the optic nerve), and had spread inside her skull and into her brain. She went back to the ED with a seizure induced by the cancer. They tried giving her chemotherapy, but the cancer was just too advanced. She died a few months ago.

So moral of the story: sometimes people can be too smart, skeptical, or paranoid for their own good.
