Trump, McDonald's and the Mister Rogers Moment

"policies" ??? How about just good character?
I could see myself voting for a person with bad character but good policies in some situations. Not, all, it would be a balancing act, but some. It’s possible that the good for the country from good policies can legitimately outweigh the bad for the country that comes from having someone in charge with bad character. But it depends on the specifics in any given election.

But I would never vote for a candidate just based on a stunt or lack there of.

If this is how easy people are to get votes I'm in the wrong business.

Regardless how one might feel about him, will this moment be the one which brought out undecided voters and those like myself who have not cast a ballot in years? Could well have played out in a Mister Roger's episode.

Your thoughts?

It was a staged political event. That McDonalds restaurant wasn't even open that day. The people in the drive-up were from the Young Republicans Organization. They even rehearsed the drive-ups before filming so they had to act surprised that the former President was serving them fries. (He wasn't even wearing a hairnet BTW :D) Just like the people wearing T-shirts saying "Auto workers for Trump" and "FireFighters for Trump" at his rallies were neither auto workers nor firefighters. It's so fake and pathetic but you keep falling for it. :ROFLMAO:

Except the main feature of the Mr. Roger's show is that it was genuine.

He is a great actor and salesman. Hopefully you were not fooled. He knows he is on camera.

Ask those he has worked with if he is fit for office. None of them say yes. His references are terrible.

Keep in mind that he is not eligible to work at any McDonalds since he could not get clearances due to a sexual assault record.

Please, don't be fooled
No fast food restaurant job requires a clearance, and the E. Jean Carroll case was civil, not criminal, and even with his 34 felony convictions, Traitor Trump would not be ineligible to work at any McDonalds.

His obviously diminished cognitive abilities, tendency to unexpectedly fall asleep, and repugnant personality would likely keep him from being hired though.

With all the comments upthread, I'm sure by now you've figured-out you got taken.

It happens.

I wonder if those salivating over this story feel like fools now?

Guess since they closed down and let him in there wont be no threats to burn the joint down or kill anyone......

......yeah, probably best to just open up and let trump and his supporters in, so they can do as they please.....

.....not really surprised that folks like the OP are virtually down on their knees, basically begging everyone not to ignore their pleas....

.....demeaning yourselves in front of the world is a positive thing though, so America can see you're all now beholden to a election losing russia loving conman crook.

Keep working on that look. ;)

He couldn't pass a background check to get a job handling money. He has been convicted of fraud.

Trump knows how to work a room!!!!!!!!!!!!
He couldn't get a job at McDonalds or just about anywhere else. He's a convicted felon. The whole thing was faked and if that doesn't bother you, then you're part of the problem.

Donald Trump is, was and always has been a conman. Don't be conned.

You have to swallow a lot of BS to vote for a lying, cheating, grifting, child of corruption, billionaire crook from New York City.

If you are determined to ignore all the bright red flags about him, then maybe a staged photo op at a closed down fast food joint where he couldn't even pass a background check would put you over the edge. That mindset is beyond reasoning.

But stop for even a moment and consider that he is so bad that somebody from his own party tried to kill him. The Secret Service is absolutely not going to let just anybody drive up to that window without performing a thorough check of the people in the car and an extremely invasive search of the vehicle. (If they didn't insist that the "customer" drive a vehicle provided by the SS.) There is no way on Earth that anyone driving up to that window didn't already know who was going to be at the window.

Any pretense of "surprise" is total BS, part of the massive amount of BS anyone considering supporting this con man has to accept in order to think this criminal who wants to gut Social Security should be our leader.

The whole thing is a staged photo-op. This kind of stunt is right up Donald's alley. He has been doing it from day one when he hired actors to pretend to cheer for him has he descended that gleaming escalator with his trophy wife.

Stop falling for it.

Vote for common sense.

Vote Kamala Harris.

All this does is demonstrate how desperate Donald is to regain the power to stay out of prison.

It's a stunt.

He has no intention of serving the country. He only wants the one thing that will save his own freedom.

As far as Donald is concerned the country and the whole world can go to hell as long as he gets to retain power and use his big money and influence to buy his way out of justice.

Vote for justice and accountability. Vote for Kamala Harris.

Kamala said she worked McDonalds .... I think she's a liar. Why do I say that? I worked at two McDonalds at the same time and can find/prove that by my W2's ..... Kamala can do the same. But she won't, because she's a liar

Trump called her on her bullshit again, and to hammer the point he went to a McDonalds and cooked/served fries

I thought it was fantastic. He didn't have to do that - but he did to show working class American's who he is and what he's made out of. Do you think Kamala would get down and dirty like that? Her days of getting on her knee's are over

Oh---like Hitler had???? Good grief, character is the heart of a leader...........ends do not justify means-----please !

(I shake my head in disbelief....)
