Conservatives now say that asbestos is good for us. Or wait, hold it, it's government over-reach to try and keep people from getting cancer for living somewhere. If you can't afford to live asbestos-free then DIE POOR BASTARD!

Did I miss anything, conservatives?

Asbestos is pretty nasty.

Asbestos exposure causes mesothelioma by triggering chronic inflammation and DNA damage in the mesothelium, the lining of body cavities like the lungs and abdomen. When asbestos fibers are inhaled or ingested, they can become lodged in these tissues, causing irritation and scarring. This chronic irritation, over decades, can lead to genetic mutations and uncontrolled cell growth, ultimately resulting in malignant mesothelioma tumors, according to the American Cancer Society and the Mesothelioma Center.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  1. 1. Exposure and Entry:

Asbestos fibers, released into the air from damaged products, are inhaled or ingested.

These fibers, being very small and needle-like, can become lodged in the mesothelium, the lining of the lungs (pleura), abdomen (peritoneum), or heart (pericardium).

This is like supporting coal.

Old, ****ed up tech that made sense when we didn't have anything better.
