The idea of creating a strategic crypto reserve has caught on quickly among bitcoin supporters. On Friday, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also proposed creating a bitcoin reserve, saying he would direct the Treasury to purchase 4 million bitcoins, which in today’s prices would equate to approximately $272 billion.

“Most people have no idea what the hell it is,” he quipped. “So what happens when everyone figures it out? That’ll be something.”

Trump offered up a proposal to create a national bitcoin “stockpile” that he said would serve as a “permanent national asset,” though stopped short of offering many details.

A crypto reserve will be necessary. There are around 19.7 million bitcoins in circulation today, worth $1.1 trillion.

The United States holding Bitcoin as a strategic reserve currency is prudent and sensible. As the value of Bitcoin increases (eventually to 100k), the value of the dollar will decrease.

Biden should have done this 4 years ago. The reserve would be x2 now.

Trump: "Buy DJT coins"
Someone whispering in his ear: "DJT coins are not yours, just a scam by Shkreli, you don't get a dime from it".
Trump: "Don't buy DJT coins"

...

Trump was President four years ago. There was a worldwide pandemic.

In calendar year 2020, the federal deficit was $3.35 trillion and federal outlays were $6.77 trillion. And in 2021, the deficit was $2.58 trillion and outlays were $6.87 trillion.

So, your hindsight is telling you that under those conditions the government should have added significantly more deficit financed spending to the budget?

Aren't you one of the people that complain that the national debt is too high and government spending was the cause of inflation?
