How cavalier to dismiss entire groups of Americans. America is what it is because of We, the People. Not we, the preferred. Not we, the informed. Not we the [political group I identify with.]
You know what's useless?
Stereotyping.
Yeah, we definitely shouldn’t stereotype Trump supporters are people who support fascism, right?
I don’t know why you are going to bat for people who think civility is more important than combating fascism or who think the best response to direct attacks on our democracy is strongly worded letters.
HA! love that. good one![]()

Absolutely bizarre. Watching so much gaslighting and untethered reality was an experience. Amazing demonstration of the government of 4chan. I did truly enjoy hearing about the Industrial Homeless Complex. It’s a scary dive into an alternate reality.
What a dumb response.Oh, you were invited?
This is all kinds of awesome. The antifa safe house with all the people that work there in shifts was a nice touch of fantasy. Also the other lady who lost all her evidence of a violent antifa when twitter killed her account and now she has nothing.
Okay.Because Democrats care more about civility and appearing bipartisan than actually doing the right thing. Centrist liberals are useless.
The magatry must feel like they're naked in a cage and bees are swarming.![]()

Text doesn’t do that meeting justice. It should go in the history books in chapter Fascism but you have to see it to believe it.This is all kinds of awesome.
I will watch it after this afternoon's roll call.Text doesn’t do that meeting justice. It should go in the history books in chapter Fascism but you have to see it to believe it.
And the Muslim Brotherhood? The magatry must feel like they're naked in a cage and bees are swarming.
For some odd reason this all reminds me of junior-high-school Eng. Lit. When the poet was writing about Beowulf it was necessary to create a huge, menacing Grendel so Beowulf could be a super hero. Without a super evil Grendel there could be no super hero Beowulf.
That's what this administration is doing with it's succession of fictional threats. Giving the magatry something to fear that Trump can protect them from.
ANTIFA? Really? Now they're afraid of ANTIFA? Are all those Latino day labourers starting to lose their menace? Maybe it's time to dust off that horrible trans threat and talk about how drag performers are turning their sons gay again.
How 'bout this from mush melon:What a shit show. My favourite bit:
Posobiec made a startling claim: Antifa is so clearly real that it “has been going on for almost 100 years ... going back to the Weimar Republic in Germany.”
And look, yes, it is absolutely true that there were anti-fascist protesters in the Weimar Republic. If you’ll remember, those were the people taking issue with the early versions of the Nazis. But it’s sort of difficult to position yourself as the good guys if you’re aligning yourself with the Nazis in your historical analogy
MAGAts need to band together and start a new militia, the PFA or "pro fascist alliance" to defend their right to give up their rights and "own da libs".
I didn't write your post, and I am not responsible for claims other posters make about me. Anyone wanting to know what I am posting has only to look in my posts, not those of others.
I love humanity and all humans. Some humans are bad people. The way I handle that is to distance myself from them and love them from a distance. When people do bad things I forgive them because that is the secret to peace of mind. Holding grudges makes peace of mind impossible. Hatred and revenge seeking are bad for society and the mind; and are to be avoided. It's not easy forgiving someone like Dysfunctional Donald and his cult of followers, but I do. Clarity of thought which ensues forgiveness allows one to accurately perceive the world and make wise decisions.
I love the maga cult and I forgive them for their mistakes. I know America can't function without them. I know America's best way forward is to end the bitter division and work together. A house united cannot fall. That is what I seek. A better America through peace. Civility is vital to civilization. Civilization is part of why humanity has progressed where other intelligent life has not.
Violence is not required to fight fascism. The Constitution will do that. We must support the Constitution and rule of law. If there are criminals who need to be apprehended that is what law enforcement and courts are for. We, as citizens, do our best for America by being well informed and actively engaged in running our self-government so that the Constitution is not only protected, but improved to meet the needs of modern times.
America has work to do, yes. The best way to improve our Constitution is to change the political climate. We can't end the political bitterness (which is bought by big money,) but we can do an end-run around it by acting local within the rule of law. Our plan is to form local left-right coalitions to pressure local governments to pass non-binding resolutions opposing big money corruption of government, which is currently legal. This needs to go viral. When enough of these resolutions have passed, and it becomes 'a thing,' new anti-corruption candidates of both parties will emerge and get elected. When enough of Congress is replaced, new anti-corruption laws can be passed, and even new Amendments can be passed.
This is a long range plan; and it needs to be, because there is no quick fix. Even if it take more than a lifetime, this solid plan is worth it. Those who recognize and act on this are continuing the work of the founders, which they knew was not complete. It is why they made it possible to Amend the Constitution. The view that our government is bought and there is too much big money influence polls very high in both parties. This plan acts on that. The greatest hurdle is that most people don't think anything can be done. That is because they lack long-range vision. So this is our challenge. Simply to get people to try to help fix America even if there is no instant gratification reward for them. But I say: "Isn't America Worth It?" As JFK said:"Ask what you can do for your country." This. This is what we can do.

Okay.
You're on your own.
You want to stand united with people who think fascism is acceptable and that people like trans people shouldn't exist?
Name a single time in history when fascism was defeated without violence.
We should all want to stand united with our fellow citizens of America after they realize fascism is a bad idea and give up on it.
Part of the problem is the fascist followers don't think they are fascists. It's a communication challenge, not a butt-kicking one.
The real battle is one of ideas.
And if they don't abandon fascism or think it's a bad idea? You still want to stand united with them?
They might call it something else, but they have no problem with authoritarianism.
Fellow Americans are not the enemy. Bad ideas are.
Attempting to make this personal is a mistake. We are discussing national politics. "You - you - you - you." That's personalizing everything. We need to think on the macroscopic scale. This is not about you or me.This is exactly the kind of nonsense that gives fascists the power they need to violate human rights. If you won't take a stand against fascists, they will have no problem taking a stand against you.

Only it will be easier to do as MAGA actually has leaders and they make sure everyone knows who they areI love the precedent Trump is setting.
It’s going to be great when we deploy it against the domestic terrorist group MAGA in the next democratic presidency.
Has MAGA ever been tethered to reality?![]()
