Trump issues 90 day pause on some tariffs

So, tariffs get kicked back for another three months, except for reciprocals and China apparently.

His post is too confusing to make good sense.

I suspect the market will jubilantly bounce, then maybe slip back a bit as it becomes apparent China tariffs will continue to have devastating effect.

If Trump would have come-over-the-top on China, without removing his other tariffs, I believe the markets would have been devastated.

It's all confusing, but the good news is China forced Trump to blink.
 
This is terrific. Against what I thought might be my better judgment I made multiple buys yesterday approaching close, figuring that Donald’s 2017-2020 track record of announcing tariffs, making big stinks about them, then suddenly punting them hours before or after they went into effect, would happen again.

He loves the fact that he has the power to manipulate all this and get the attention as "a powerful man." He has what he wants...a world stage, and control over the media platforms enabling him to publicly speak for HOURS, rambling on about himself and that power.

And MAGA continues to swallow it whole.

They’re praising him for saving the stock market, as if he’s not trying to manipulate the market, didn’t blink, as if he didn’t just find a way to back down yet claim victory, as if he isn’t the sole reason for all the turmoil and won’t be the sole reason in 90 days. 🤦‍♀️

This man is a complete and absolute idiot. He's playing with people's retirements because he has a fragile ego and is probably suffering from dementia.
Coupled with almost certain market manipulation you have to wonder just what he has to do for Republicans to actually give a shit and impeach him.

That's it. FWIU, this is based on a tweet or Truth Social post which also announced tariffs on China going up to 125%.

After the hoax the other day, I understand the media skepticism. We'll see if Trump is blinking.

The White House (not Trump) is now giving a pressor, confirming.

They're declaring victory, claiming all the World's countries are working with America, and Trump isolated China from the rest of the globe.
 
The Trump Shitshow 2.0 continues...sowing chaos and uncertainty everywhere.
