Watching his rally in Houston. It was a glorious moment and almost brought tears to my eyes when he stated that. In order to continue to make America great again we must embrace nationalism on a national scale. Embracing our borders, language, and culture the founders instilled on our nation at it's founding must be upheld. I feel so privileged to have had the opportunity to vote for this magnificent president.

President Donald Trump on Monday evening proudly asserted that he was a “nationalist” — a designation some of his fiercest critics have previously wielded against him as an attack on what they deem nativist policy pursuits by his administration.

“You know, they have a word, it sort of became old-fashioned. It’s called a nationalist,” Trump said at a campaign event in Houston, where he rallied voters to support Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) in November’s midterm elections.

I do agree that we should have some level of nationalism, I do believe that a strong border is necessary, and to protect our interests first.

i'm not a nationalist. instead, i like my country and want to make it better. first step : remove assholes from office at the polls.

Nationalism =/= Facism. Extreme nationalism does. What is wrong to feel patriotic, and protect your country's interest?

Too many people eat this **** up.

How much MAGA gear have you purchased ?

I am proud to be American, and recognize my luck in this occurrence. Hence my willingness to give 10 years of military service toward the defense of my nation.

The term “nationalism” is generally used to describe two phenomena: (1) the attitude that the members of a nation have when they care about their national identity, and (2) the actions that the members of a nation take when seeking to achieve (or sustain) self-determination.

I believe in our culture, ideals, goals, and aspirations. If our nation were as bad as others claim, we would not need to worry about people clamoring to immigrate here by hook or crook if not legally.

Yes, I am proud of it and want to preserve it's culture, language, etc. from all enemies foreign and domestic.

Hitler wasn’t seen as a socialist, a monarchist, a Democrat, like many rivals. Instead, he was portrayed and accepted as being Germany itself, the one man who’d cut across the many sources of anger and discontent in Germany and cure them all.

He wasn’t widely seen as a power-hungry racist, but someone putting Germany and ‘Germans’ first. Indeed, Hitler managed to look like someone who would unite Germany rather than push it to extremes: he was praised for stopping a left-wing revolution by crushing the socialists and communists (first in street fights and elections, then by putting them in camps), and praised again after the Night of the Long Knives for stopping his own right (and still some left) wingers from starting their own revolution. Hitler was the unifier, the one who halted chaos and brought everyone together.

Nothing when done within reason, hence why my Father, Uncles, Cousins, Myself and Son have all served this Nation.

National

Like National Democratic Party, New National Party, National Liberal Party, National Democratic Congress, etc.

Think of the countries with Democrat in the name....

German Democratic Republic, Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, People's Democratic Republic of Yemen.............

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Wiki's definition of nationalism:

Nationalism is a political, social, and economic system characterized by the promotion of the interests of a particular nation, especially with the aim of gaining and maintaining sovereignty over the homeland. The political ideology of nationalism holds that a nation should govern itself, free from outside interference and is linked to the concept of self-determination. Nationalism is further oriented towards developing and maintaining a national identity based on shared, social characteristics.

I've been listening to most of President Trump's speeches since he became President, and I am confident it is that definition he relates to and not the more perjorative one that you so often see.

And I am a hundred percent behind him that.

Nationalism =/= Facism. Extreme nationalism does. What is wrong to feel patriotic, and protect your country's interest?

The fact that one is used to justify the other and people like yourself regularly struggle to realize when you're crossing the line. Rooting for Michale Phelps in the Olympics is fine. Trampling the rights of others to improve your own lot in life is another.

Nationalist, nationalism, American, Americanism, patriot, patriotism have all become bad words in this country, well according to the far unhinged left wing idiots... Time to mock those who have made it so.

I am proud to be an American.
Won't you join me?

Btw, people of ALL color are welcome to chant with me... I am proud to be an American. :usflag2:

For years, globalists have tried to make us believe words like nationalist, protectionist, isolationists, etc were pejoratives. If they called you a nationalist, you were supposed to recoil and insist you were no such thing. Never apologize for being a nationalist. Never apologize for loving the United States of America.

The term that fits him best is cultural nationalist. No one who is as beholden to a foreign country or entity as Trump is can truly be considered a nationalist in the classical sense of the word.
