I predicted Trump would win right from the start. To me that was always clear. I was amazed at the TTSD that started on day one. I’ve seen so many people with egg on their face since then. CNN and the NYT were such an embarrassment. They went WAY over the edge with their conspiracies and hysteria. The best one was their Russian conspiracy.

It was so pathetic. Then one was taped saying it was a nothingburger. How sweet was that?

Caught with their pants down. The Fake News. What chumps!

Now Trump is getting set to take out Rocket Man, and China has leapt up to do Trump's bidding. I guess the hollow Left are beginning to see what kind of man Trump is. I think quite a few are beginning to wake up.

I wonder how long it will take Trump opponents on this board to see how severely they misjudged him.

I really don't see how a President can be a "best" or "worst" while still serving. The judgment of history is in the future.;)

That's an easy one. If he dropped dead today, that would be my judgement, after what that man has been through and suffered, and achieved. He's a giant among POTUS's.

what was so good about Lincoln? IMO he sucked elephant balls but then that is only one opinion .........

Yes, I've had many a battle online with libertarians about different issues. One was that many hillbilly libertarians called Lincoln a 'tyrant'. I could scarcely believe it, but am familiar with their ideas nowadays. They were gun nuts too, and many wanted to have another civil war, so the South could rise again.

I pointed out all Lincoln's great traits and defended him best I could, but when you have libertarians set on believing Linc was a tyrant, there's no chance you can change their minds.

We are not a patient culture and want the story here and now!

Apparently so, but it's an exercise in both futility and stupidity, don't you think?

there is no debating the FACT that Lincoln abused The US Constitution worse than all POTUS combined; his transgressions against our Constitution were an abomination & despicable .......

Where did he find the elephants?

Oh, okay. I understand now. ;)

No doubt after Trump's death the world will see, as it did with Lincoln, ten or twelve volume editions of Trump's collected works in fine morocco bindings. All that wisdom. A great humanitarian like Lincoln, too. Just yesterday, for example, Trump condemned the NFL for adopting measures to cut down on head injuries known to cause permanent brain disease in many players. What a guy.

And we have yet another Russian Bot

Sounds like a great bloke.

But seriously, though I'm not Jewish I'm going to say it anyway. Oy vey! :doh

How about, instead of us arguing the usual encyclopedic sized debate, we keep it simple. I'll just ask one simple question, and you answer that. What was the single worst thing he did? Not a list, please. Just the worst single thing he did according to you. The one at the top of your list.

Here's a quote from Lincoln, “I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the white and black races … I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races from living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be a position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race.”

It's not surprising that a Trump supporter would idolize Lincoln

I agree he won't be judged on that till way later. History has tended to be kinder to presidents later except for a few.

There are already plenty of empty skulls on here saying the Trump presidency is the worst ever with only 8 months in.

You must have thought I said that Trump was God. Not so. He's a human. Do you think that there is any human, or any POTUS, that didn't make the occasional mistake? Trump isn't a brain specialist. Like many sport fans he's going to react to stuff like that from his heart, but he wasn't elected to be a brain damage expert. What you want is Dr. Spock, or some other cartoon character. In real life, people are not perfect. Lincoln made some mistakes, as did Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and so on. We all do. How about you? Have you made mistakes?

Then again your opinion is most irrelevant and historians have Lincoln as one of the top 3 presidents ever consistently with Washington at number 1.

It would help if you did a little bit of research and gained some actual knowledge about a subject.

Let's see, Trump's healthcare bill failed spectacularly, he hasn't been able to get much of anything done despite the GOP controlling the federal government, many members of Trump's cabinet have been removed or have resigned, and most of Trump's advisory councils have completely dissolved. Not to mention all of the stupid **** he has said on Twitter that has backfired on him and his administration, forcing them to play damage control for him on a constant basis.

Best president after Lincoln? Maybe if you glue your eyes shut.

Why? Because all Trump supporters are racist?

I'm pretty sure Dr. Spock is a real person

So what? His view was no different than most white males, North and South, at the time. That means that if you have been there in those days, you would have agreed with him. He was the POTUS, not a philosopher from the future. All your ancestors and all your heroes from that time believed the same thing. Are you going to put them in the trash as well? Lincoln fought the Democrats and the South to free blacks forevermore, in a time when most white men believed the same beliefs shown above. Just what the hell did you expect him to do, more than that?

Also, haven't you heard of politicians humoring the masses to get the vote, so that they can do what they REALLY believe in? Or is that too much like rocket science to you?
