They had a $900 million cost over on these stupid electric catapults that didn’t work. They had almost a billion dollar cost over on the magnetic elevators. Think of it, magnets. Now all I know about magnets is this, give me a glass of water, let me drop it on the magnets, that’s the end of the magnets. Why didn’t they use John Deere? Why didn’t they bring in the John Deere people? Do you like John Deere? I like John Deere.

Magnets work just fine in an under water. The catapults on an aircraft carrier are in the hull just under the deck. They're not submerged in seawater.

EXPERIMENT - Salvage paper clips

2. Your task now is to try to get the paper clip up
without getting wet on any part of the body.
 
Trump is not nor even has been an actually smart person. His only smarts are in surrounding himself with actually smart people who do his bidding. But that calls into question if they’re truly wise. I guess money talks very loudly.

But in the end he’s just ridiculously stupid as are his followers.

What this actually proves is that trumpers don't listen to what he says. Here is some word for word blathering from Iowa just this week;

If he thinks about putting on his pants he won't want to do it???

Use your semi-automatic rifle with 30 round magazine and "bump stock" blow great gaping holes in the glass bowl and then using you 14" "Real Genuine Authentic 'Bowie' Knife" pick the paperclips up off the table. No, I don't know what the magnet would be used for.
