Apple doesn't use anything special they get flea market trash from China. And then turn around and charge $1,000 for phones. All this means for Apple is the CEO isn't going to be able to afford his gold-plated toilet brush this year.
Apple hardly uses "flea market trash." That's why Consumer Reports rates them so highly and they have the loyalest customer base.

Why is Apple manufacturing in China? China has an extensive supply chain. You need a thousand rubber gaskets? That’s the factory next door. You need a million screws? That factory is a block away. You need that screw made a little bit differently? It will take three hours.
The point is that manufacturing plants don’t exist in isolation; they benefit a lot from being part of a manufacturing cluster, with specialized suppliers and a large pool of workers with the right skills close at hand.
If Apple wants to evade the tariffs on China, they can ship everything assembles, except for one screw, to Vietnam where that last screw is inserted and ship the finished product to the U.S. tariff free.
Do you really think this is part of the “art of the deal”?
I really think that there’s no way Trump granted any exemptions without getting something out of it, correct. He’s a narcissist who isn’t just going to randomly capitulate/forfeit without having something he can declare victory about.
After all, he’d stubbornly do whatever he feels like doing well beyond the point that the world burns down around him, wouldn’t you agree?
lol.
Okay,
As I was saying....

Like when China promised to buy $200 billion in order for Trump to end the 2018 tariffs and they didn't.Lovely if it happens.

...and the largest economy in the world is being taken advantage of by tiny Asian nations.100%
It never ceases to amaze me how little the average Trump supporter knows about the world, yet they think the whole world owes them a favor.
Like when China promised to buy $200 billion in order for Trump to end the 2018 tariffs and they didn't.
China bought none of the extra $200 billion of US exports in Trump's trade deal
Lovely if it happens.

Do you get bored saying the same insults everyday?I don’t believe it would be worthwhile to try. MAGA functionally are more like a photocopier than a sentient being. That is, they’re a relatively simple automaton that takes talking points from Donald and the media, then copies them many different times, day in and day out until new points are issued. They stay focused because they have been taught that any entity that is not Donald Trump is an agent of Satan, evil incarnate and anything they say is a lie.
So, you could try to explain things to @Taylor for hours on end, but all he will see and read is <words from Satan’s agent, ignore them>. So it becomes something of a waste of time for everybody involved.
If they weren't using flea market trash the Chinese tariffs wouldn't hurt them. Your purchasing stuff that China knocked off from other places so flea market trash.Apple hardly uses "flea market trash." That's why Consumer Reports rates them so highly and they have the loyalest customer base.

I think some of what we're seeing is due to Biden's CHIPS Act and to stay in tRump's good graces, companies will make sure he gets and takes credit for what was probably already planned.Haha, fair point, but they've already started.
You don't care lolIf they weren't using flea market trash the Chinese tariffs wouldn't hurt them. Your purchasing stuff that China knocked off from other places so flea market trash.
I don't care how indoctrinated you are if it's a Chinese manufactured product it's flea market trash.
When someone escapes something else maybe in China and the referencing the quality it's not because it's some good. You don't care lol

And someone said something that's made out of chineseium it's not a compliment.
You do realize we can thank the Chips Act for that, correct? For those not up on such things, the Chips Act was a bi-partisan piece of legislation backed by the Biden administration designed to bring the semi-conductor industry back to the US and reduce our dependency on China and Taiway. It is actually the right way to accomplish economic goals, not capricious tariffs. As I was saying....

You think these plans were made overnight in an agreement with Trump?
Really?
Why do you think this?
The article mentioned nothing about Trump.
No.
No.
You provided the article as evidence of a Trump deal, which is your claim.I don't. You made that up and dishonestly attributed it to me.
I didn't say it did.
Where did I say any of this and why are you making things up to strawman me?
I think some of what we're seeing is due to Biden's CHIPS Act and to stay in tRump's good graces, companies will make sure he gets and takes credit for what was probably already planned.
What are his tariffs... Exactly? LolThe CHIPS Act was signed into law 2 1/2 years ago. If it was a response to that, it would've happened much sooner.
Information about Trump's plans and policies didn't start on January 20, 2025. Corporations like Nvidia are well-run and they knew what was coming if Trump won the election well before Election Day. Most likely, they had plans in place for either outcome, and when it was clear that Trump had won, they put those contingencies into action, knowing full well that Trump was planning tariffs that would greatly impact their bottom line.
