It isn't trump's fault the wall wasn't built, banon and friends grifted the gop base about the wall and mexico refused to pay but this time he'll secure the border no matter how much it costs the american taxpayer.
 
trump doesn't improve border security, he just causes discrimination (Muslims) and cruelty (Hispanic families). No doubt he'd increase people killed, e.g. supporting Texas.
 
Truly "closing the border" would be prohibitively expensive and, in addition, would wreak havoc with our food production industry. I do not see any politician signing on to that. Rather, it will remain a wink, wink, nod, nod concept, good for stump speeches and little else.

2019 was the worst year for illegal immigration in the previous 10 years. We had double the illegal immigration of Obama's worst year. Two full years into the Trump admin. I guess this is when the MAGA fools think the border was closed.

If not for 2020 and covid, it would have been the worse than 2019.

The Biden administration has fast tracked plans to resume building a barrier along the US-Mexico border, in an admission of the severity of the migrant crisis.


Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas quietly announced late Wednesday that 20 miles of wall will be built in the Rio Grande Valley in Southeast Texas, citing an “acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers” to prevent more people from entering the country illegally.

And what about all the current screaming of Biden shutting the border down via executive order? Did that not apply to Trump for the 4 years he was in office?

Well, if Trump says something, it is gospel. And when he doesn't do what he promised, we get two reactions.
1. It's all the fault of the Dems, the DOJ, the corrupt courts, the Deep State, the dishonest MSM that it didn't get done.
2. THIS TIME what Trump says he will do he will do, I absolutely believe it
