There is no such evidence to support such a charge, nor for sedition nor for insurrection. It was a riot, and as such charges for disruption of congress and obstruction of congress are in evidence.

In the contrary. It would make the US look strong. Letting him get away with it makes us look like any other third world country run under dictatorship.
