In October everyone heard the Hollywood Access tape. Trump didn't want voters to find that his denials of moral turpitude and indecency were only lies. His motive was to decieve voters wherever and whoever they were.

For the same reason he bought Stormys silence weeks before the 2016 election, to keep the fact away from the voters.
