Trump declares war on Portland, Oregon

So are all other cops. And for that matter so are hookers. Do we need to deploy the Marines to protect Hookers now?

Still completely full of it. If they are that scared they need to find another line of work.
 
NPR reports, "President Trump says he has ordered the deployment of troops to Portland, Ore., and that he's authorized them to use "full force" to curb protests outside U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement facilities."

So, according to our Republican President, protests are not allowed.

Despite what the President has said, there are no reports of violence in Portland.

Based upon what Republicans are doing, America as we know it could cease to exist. Republicans are just getting started. Republicans have 3 1/2 years to complete their destruction.

The media has largely gone silent on Trump's plan to invade Portland, Oregon, with American troops.

Perhaps this is why. Trump is clueless on the matter.

The Post reports, "Trump’s announcement that he would send troops to Portland, Oregon, and authorize them to use “full force, if necessary” marks a troubling — and possibly illegal — escalation of the president’s campaign to deploy the military to American cities, legal experts said.

"Much remains uncertain about Trump’s plans, including whether he would send the National Guard or active-duty troops and what exactly he means by full force."

How exactly is it a dodge? The claim is that Portland is ridden with crime, is it not? I addressed it by illustrating that crime is is actually on a downward trend, thus making the justification for troops on the ground moot.

That proves nothing. Those "crime is reducing". claims are administrator playing with data. Portland has had problems for years.

I'm not denying Portland has problems, but those problems are not military intervention worthy. This isn't the Middle East or some war torn eastern European country. This is America. Also, how else are we to guage the seriousness of a problem without data? Are you saying we should go off of vibes?
