Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed that his face would be added to Mount Rushmore if he were a Democrat.
Trump’s allies have long flattered him with the idea that his likeness belongs in granite alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt.
“I know, I know — yeah, I would have,” Trump told host Dan Bongino during a podcast discussion published Wednesday, agreeing with Bongino’s suggestion that Trump would have been added to the South Dakota monument if he were a Democrat.

Trump also told Bongino that if he chooses to seek a second term in 2024, he’s likely to announce the decision immediately after the November 2022 congressional midterm elections.
Delusions of grandeur. This makes me even happier that he lost by a landslide.
Only in a different universe, where Southern traitors won the Civil War and Mount Rushmore today consisted of Jeff Davis, Robert E. Lee, Nathan Bedford Forrest and D. W. Griffith.
But, in THIS universe, Trump's likeness would fit quite nicely on Stone Mountain.
