Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed that his face would be added to Mount Rushmore if he were a Democrat.

Trump’s allies have long flattered him with the idea that his likeness belongs in granite alongside George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt.

“I know, I know — yeah, I would have,” Trump told host Dan Bongino during a podcast discussion published Wednesday, agreeing with Bongino’s suggestion that Trump would have been added to the South Dakota monument if he were a Democrat.

Trump also told Bongino that if he chooses to seek a second term in 2024, he’s likely to announce the decision immediately after the November 2022 congressional midterm elections.

Delusions of grandeur. This makes me even happier that he lost by a landslide.

Obviously if he ran as a Democrat he'd have been pretending to care about the issues Democrats care about, so he's saying Democrats are generally more supportive of their politicians than Republicans, yeah?

If Trump was prepared to play the part to earn that honor (possibly the least likely thing to ever happen, for any proposition bettors out there) then I don't doubt for a second that he would have been so honored.

Heck, maybe he'll run in 2024 as a Democrat and get it right this time.

Should've tried doing some Democratic things (infrastructure, health care, education, etc) instead of GOP things (tax cuts for the rich), then.

Trump doesn’t need to be on Mt Rushmore to remind future generations of Americans of his accomplishments.

History books are already being written to include them.
 
The American President who delivered a vaccine for a novel-virus pandemic in less than a year? Who got ONE MILLION VACCINATIONS PER DAY, before Joe Biden was even sworn in and made sure that Americans (and more) would have 800 MILLION vaccination doses paid for and ready for them? Yeah, his face belongs up there.
