From a reactionary tabloid, to be sure, but the blurring of cleavages between the official ideologies is always more interesting than reiterations of the old lines between them.

Trump campaign considers shift on climate change to win reelection

President Trump's reelection campaign is feeling pressure on the issue of climate change. It plans to adopt pro-environment messaging to win key states such as Florida and appease important voter demographics that are moving toward Democrats.

The campaign is responding to consistent polling that shows young people and suburban swing voters are increasingly concerned about climate change and its effects on extreme weather.

The article is extremely bereft of details, but I can actually see this emerging on the fringe-right in coming years (it will never be a mainstream plank) in the form of a kind of eco-fascism lite.

I thought Trump wasn't a politician?

Considering trump left the Paris agreement THIS WEEK, don't expect it.

I hope they do. It will totally backfire on them. Everyone knows the GOP and Trump are climate deniers. The only way it could work is if he starts reversing the regulations he's already reversed. It's just another Trump lie. !!!! He's grasping at straws because he know's he's in for total destruction at the polls.

If this story is even true, it is a signal of concern, if not desperation.

It’s also an obvious trial balloon.

And it’s a play to try and get the audience to forget what Trump did re Paris just a couple of days ago.

As if anyone is going to fall for a transparently cynical vote-grabbing ploy like this (if true). His supporters don't care a whit about the climate, and those with a brain can see this for what it is and will ignore yet another bunch of lies from Trump and his 'administration'.
