In my opinion we should not vote for Donald Trump to be president. Trump is a good businessman but he is not a public servant. For instance, let's say China would give Trump a hard time, Trump, in my opinion, would seek his own personal triumph over the interest of the commonwealth. In other words, instead of absorbing the embarrassment and insult, in my opinion, he would retaliate. This can bring the U.S. into war with China and other countries.

I don't think he would start any wars. But he is such an egotistical son of a gun that its tiresome to listen to him for more that a minute or two. And he glosses over any detail that doesn't relate to his personal life and business conquests.

A: he'll never run for president. Publicity is publicity.

B: He'd never get the republican nomination even if he did.

I'll listen to his platform if he runs (as I always give candidates a fair hearing), but there are already several deal-breakers: One, he's a Republican long after that ceased to be justifiable - and the best possible interpretation of that fact is that he has seriously compromised moral judgment. Two, he has made birther statements, which means at least one of the following about Trump: He is a moron (unlikely), a lunatic (unlikely), a bigot (possible), or someone ruthless and un-American enough to pander to bigotry (highly likely). My impression of the man is that he is a crassly narcissistic egomaniac with next to zero love for this country beyond how convenient he finds it, and no concern whatsoever for its values or its people. I barely consider him an American, regardless of what the nincompoop's birth certificate says.

I don't know about that. When he announced the possibility he immediately overshot all the other potential nominees in polls for Republicans.

Essentially because he's focused on business and his celebrity he hasn't taken any real controversial stances or pursue any actual policies.

Remember - California voted in Schwarzenegger as governor and he was a Republican...

Do you have any evidence to support that?

Anyhow, he is already running, I guess you haven't noticed.

This early In the race, its simple name recognition.

Watch GOP contenders tear him a new one when they dig into his business dealings and other statements of his in the past"

I mean come on! The guy told everyone he'd announce when he'd announce he'd run for president on the finale of his ****ing TV show.

I think you have a good point. He gets really angry about the slightest things and blows everything out of proportion. There is no reason for him to say such nasty things about Seinfeld for example. He just takes everything as a massive and personal insult, and completely blows up. He also did it with Rosey O'Donald.

I can't imagine what he would do if foreign ministers criticized him... kind of scary.

And welcome to Debate Politics..

Oh there's no doubt Trump wants to kick some commie ass. That's one reason I'm voting for him.

Trump/Prince William 2012 !

Trump is a birther. That, alone, makes him too much of an idiot to be President. And if there are any Republicans left with any brains, Trump won't have a snowball's chance in Hell of getting nominated. If he were nominated, it would be a sure fire re-election for Obama.

That's what we need in this troubled economy, a pres whose declared bankruptcy three times in the last ten years..

That right there, is enough for him to never get my vote.

Donald as POTUS is a long-shot. If he forms a third party, he'll lose and hand Barry Soetoro Obama a victory, which would be catastrophic for America. We might not ever recover from Barry. He's already caused so much damage, it'll take decades to rebuild the nation. Nevertheless, I love the Donald's attack-dog approach to challenging Barry's corruption, confusion and incompetence.

You mean, his babbling on with lies and misinformation in a futile attempt to deny Obama's citizenship?

I have yet to hear The Donald say anything of real substance. All he has done is some populist grandstanding. The elephants can do better.

And I thought we couldn't do worse than Palin. I was too naive.

what that guy said. Trump has no natural constituency.

Well maybe we need to start hiring good aggresive business men before we become a 3rd world country. Public servants have gotten us nowhere fast and that cannot be denied.

You can tell what "world" you are in by the public toilets. And it's why the gals should stick to places like Geneva and Paris. Guys are unresticted in their adventures.

The respect I had for Donald Trump is fading fast. First, he bites into the birfer issue hook, line, and sinker; and now, he's questioning Obama's qualification to be admitted into Ivy League universities. Seems he believes the man who became a president of Harvard's Law Review and who graduated magna cum laude didn't deserve to be there.

Like Trump was tricked into the birther question? He just blindly got into it very publicly? The man is risking his reputation for US, for you and me, Equals hero. I wouldn't be surprised about anything Trump discovers about our Resident.

I almost forgot. Anybody who doesn't like Trump is just jealous. That's my adaptation of the Obama / racist thing.

A birfer? Currently? I didn't know (I'm out of country lately). Then I don't believe he will run for pres. He is appealing to the fringe and wants some net-time (similar to the face-time he gets on news programs). He would not appease the fringe if he was serious. Let him bask in the limelight and call forth the freaks, that's not a terrible thing to do and it is probably great for ratings.
