Good news today! Another Trump-appointed judge came through big, just a few minutes ago....

In a victory for voters, a federal court has halted Republican Judge Jefferson Griffin’s efforts to overturn an election and disenfranchise thousands of voters. A federal judge has ordered the state to certify Democratic Justice Allison Riggs’ victory.

Judge Richard E. Myers II, a Trump appointee, ruled that the process violated equal protection because it treated some voters differently than others in the same situation.

“The cure process offends equal protection principles because it treats overseas military and civilian voters casting ballots in certain counties differently than others who are identically situated,” the court ruled, finding the process to be “inconsistent with the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment” and therefore could not proceed.

The court has ordered North Carolina to finalize the results based on the original vote count, securing Justice Riggs’ seat on the State Supreme Court.

The Griffin campaign has told a reporter it is “reviewing the order and evaluating next steps.”

“Permitting parties to ”upend the set rules” of an election after the election has taken place can only produce “confusion and turmoil [which] threatens to undermine public confidence in the federal courts, state agencies, and the elections themselves,” the judge ruled.

I mean, this is good, but it's also unnerving that we're at this point.
Completely agree, but slowly some are willing to show some courage and patriotism. I haven't completely given up hope, perhaps something will blow up in their faces and changes will be made using the rule of law, the voting system and the justice system.

This can't go on, the trump criminals need to be held accountable, America and our people are being raped and our rights and freedoms being ripped from us. More bizarre rules being made up, big government interference and invasion is way out of hand. Enemy within, wearing white pointed hoods as they pick our pockets.....shameful.

The USA is dying quickly due to the trump Fascist regime, hoping it's not too late. Maybe too optimistic, but watching citizens being threatened, fired, deported, etc. is not what this country is about. Unnerving is really putting it mildly. :(

Yeah, it's bad. I hope that it gets better. Not much I can do about it except to point at it, say, "Look at that shit. It's happening, and fast." Then I'll maybe vote if I think that it still does much. I'm not much for cranking the handle of a pump on a dry well other than to hear it squeak a few times, though. Sadly, I think that it will take another horrible Depression to throw off the right. So it goes.

Spot on. It is horrifying to watch this happen......and rapidly........ and not even being contested, questioned or checked. Where are the checks and balances???
Where is the nation of laws?? Is the constitution the equivalent of a candy wrap??
Is it THIS easy for one man to destroy what has been so carefully, crafted through so many years ??
equally important : Where is the outrage???

In North Carolina the Democrat for Governor won by 15%. This Democratic Supreme Court Justice won.

Yet Trump won the state by 3%. ;)

This is a part of what I mean when I say the GOP does not govern, they rule.

The Republican candidate for governor was the moronic "black Nazi" guy, that certainly explains part of the disparity.
