Trump and Putin to meet in Alaska next Friday for Ukraine war talks

Well, maybe you can go bludgeon some helpless, baby seals. Given that's what Canadians like to do, that should take your mind off it, aside from which, that's essentially what warmongers do: exploit and kill like monsters
Oh, well, shit.

Canada has got the hippies all worked up again.

Zelensky is done, and the USA will never accept responsibility for lives lost or send any meaningful help. You aren't willing to go, and to see American warmongers chanting "go boys ,go," throwing money at kidnapped Ukrainians forced on the front line, hiding behind them like pathetic, sniveling scum, is truly disgusting, and that's essentially what American warmongers are doing. I find it truly repugnant
Based on your posts, I believe that if America was ever invaded, you'd take a job with the invaders.

Well, yes, but I'm trying to remain within the rules.
What rule prevents stating the obvious? Well... some things that are obvious. What evidence contradicts employment by a foreign actor? I guess that's my dilemma. The rules do prevent using pejorative language, but observing that posts reflect an obeisance to a foreign narrative seems kosher.

We have never in our history had a president be this much of a foreign leader's bitch.

The Naval leaders and Republicans thought that about Roosevelt. The Navy felt that Japan, which had attacked them at Pearl Harbor should be the first and most important priority in World War II. FDR agreed with Churchill that Germany was the biggest and most important threat. Partially that came from the Navy not being privy to all the Intelligence that FDR was. For example the knowledge that Heisenberg was working on the same thing we were, an Atomic Bomb.

FDR believed the more technologically advanced Germans could win the war if given enough time. He believed that was a much larger threat than the Japanese controlling tens of thousands of square miles of essentially empty ocean.

One of the things the group of experts working for Donovan did was figure out the Logistical requirements for the Japanese. That logistical weakness of the Japanese was one of the first targets given priority when we sent our Submarines out. For the Germans that logistical system was road and rail. For England and Japan that was ships. Lots of ships would be needed and the Japanese never started the merchant ship construction that they would need.

Until the Essex class Carriers started to show up in the Pacific many Naval Officers and men thought they were being betrayed by FDR in favor of Churchill.

But FDR didn't invite Tojo to Alaska to lick his ass.

Uh-huh. You're completely unconvincing, shedding crocodile tears for the Ukrainian freedom fighters. If you're a paid shill for Moscow, they aren't getting their rubles worth.

Meanwhile, for the record:
  • On the flight to Alaska, President Trump declared that if he did not secure a cease-fire in Ukraine during talks with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, “I’m not going to be happy,” and there would be “severe consequences.”
  • Just hours later, he got back on Air Force One and departed Alaska without the cease-fire he deemed so critical. Yet he had imposed no consequences, and had pronounced himself so happy with how things went with Mr. Putin that he said “the meeting was a 10.”

But FDR didn't invite Tojo to Alaska to lick his ass.

No. But he did order the Army to stop copying Soviet signals and stop trying to decrypt them. The Army continued and didn’t tell either FDR or Truman about it. It finally was known by a President when Eisenhower was elected and he knew about Venona from his time as a General.

Keep making excuses for Trump fawning for Putin.

Thank god we had FDR in the White House. He was already doing all he could to put the U.S. on a war footing by 1940, including industrial programs.

Where has Zelensky gone to?

It seems that the US military is just for birthday parades, ey?

The warmonger in the wood pile is then invading Putin and you have said nothing about that. Is his invasion and the consequences not repugnant?

Hardly. I think Trump is a fool. I am however truthful and a lover of History. I have and will continue to oppose every proposal or policy of Trump's that violates the Constitution, or the very nature of our Nation. So far that is basically everything that Trump has done. The only credit I've given him is he did not surrender Alaska to Putin. An action I thought was actually quite possible.

I believe that only by learning history, the good, the bad, the silly or stupid, can we prevent repeating those errors. As for my opinion of Trump, I believe he is Crazier than Fruitcake in May. His pathetic Ego demands recognition. His greed demands any Gold that he can get his hands on. That's why he stole the Trophy and Medal from the awards ceremony he attended. It's why he is demanding the Nobel Prize.

I've attended the protests against him since he took office. I'll probably be attending a lot more. I donate to groups that oppose him. You can't find a post where I give him any credit other than his keeping Alaska during the meeting with Putin.

And yet here you are, flying cover for him.

Hey, I just noticed that Putin has borrowed Trump's practice of painting his face.

Weird people.

Wow, this is huge!!!! (y)

Sky News is reporting: https://news.sky.com/story/trump-pu...t-alaska-ukraine-war-talks-zelenskyy-12541713

Putin has agreed to allow the US and European allies to offer Ukraine a security guarantee resembling NATO's collective defence mandate as part of an eventual deal to end the war.

"We were able to win the following concession: That the United States could offer Article 5-like protection, which is one of the real reasons why Ukraine wants to be in NATO," he told CNN.

Article 5 is the core principle of the 32-member collective, which states that an armed attack against one or more of the members shall be considered an attack against all members.

Witkoff said it was the first time he had heard Putin agree to that - and called it "game-changing".

Would that be more binding than 1994 Budapest Memorandum ??

And no award, acclaim, or gold, real or not, will ever be enough.
