$500k is nothing to these people and with limited membership, it won't add up to squat. There's always a grift aspect to a TrumpCo plan, but this isn't about money. What it's about I really don't know.

Presidents and their administrations typically speak with private interests independently or as members of a particular sector. Lobbyists are constantly afoot. I don't recall an administration setting up a private club for these functions.

Secrecy doesn't require club membership, so that's not it. (We'll find out what's going on from Hegseth.)

What exactly is beyond "the highest-end private club that Washington has ever had" I can't say. Seems pointless. What will they talk about? Is this about tariff exemptions?
