Does this plane have all of the defensive measures against attack that are part of the US made Air Force One? If not, it’s just an expensive toy of no real merit.

I would like Canada to buy whatever jet they think is best for them.

I would prefer they buy the Eurofighter but I'm not a military expert.

AF1 is a unique jet as it will house the top brass so is a much, much higher safety risk than some random airforce jet.
I think they should have chosen the 787 as it's the most modern Boeing aircraft and will have the longest lifespand for spares and is US built so you can make sure it's secure.

It's also why there were strict restrictions on who could work on the new US embasy in London as even though it's in an allied city it needs to be absolutely secure.

If it was a straight bang for buck equation, Canada would be better off with F35s.

However, the USA cannot be trusted with weapons transfers, let alone the integrity of the weapons themselves.

Better to have Eurofighters that won't turn in your hand or simply stop working.

Right, but it's specific to Trump. The smart thing to have done to not make this look bad was to gift it to the US, that way the current president would benefit from it as would his predecessors. The fact this gift is just for the duration of Trump's term and then goes to the foundation you mentioned, which is a private endeavor.
