Trump actually used to be articulate (1 Viewer)

Either that or he has realized that if he dumbs it down for his base, he gets more popular with them. By keeping at about the 4th grade level, they can finally understand what people are saying for a change, not all that egghead bull$hit mumbo jumbo. He speaks their language.

So he's officially a stable genius, for a 4 year old.

I also think he's annoyed at constantly having to prove and defend himself which makes him lapse into bully speak. Before he ran for President I'm sure he was entirely surrounded by yes men.

"I'm speaking with myself number one, because I have a very good brain".

The left's obsession with IQ and intelligence is almost comical. I think it's the 'I failed life but I'm still really smart' syndrome.

You think those are unimportant attributes for a POTUS?
I don't care how smart you think you are. I want to see results. Your position in society reflects the cumulative measure of your results.

Whether you're a plumber or a physicist, results are guided by intelligence.

Trump is living proof of that.

unless you have a very rich daddy and your position and wealth is the result of other people's hard work

Does it, though?

There are plenty of trust fund babies whose only accomplishment is that their father skeeted life into their mother, but because they have money, they are considered some sort of societal elites.

I mean seriously......is there any way to prove that Trump Co. would be any better or worse because of the influence of Don Jr. or Eric?

There's going to be some exceptions. You can win the lottery. But by and large, you place in society is measured by your successes. And success is far more complex than this simplified one-dimensional number representing your IQ.

Then by that measure, Trump is one of the dumbest people on the planet...

Donald Trump received the equivalent of at least $413 million (in 2018 dollars) from his father, Fred Trump.
In terms of losses, Trump’s business record shows significant setbacks. The New York Times reported that between 1985 and 1994 alone, Trump reported business losses totaling $1.17 billion, largely from his casinos, hotels, and retail ventures. More recently, from 2015 to 2020, his main holding company, DJT Holdings LLC, reported cumulative losses exceeding $313 million. There have also been multiple bankruptcies (six in total) associated with Trump’s companies.

To sum up....he got 413 million, he lost 1.17 billion + 313 million

so now his wealth is basically all the donations, pack and dark money + money he got from foreign governments god knows for the exchange of what US secrets!

And a Newf would sound the same way at a university in Toronto.

Trump speaks like the quintessential New Yorker which doesn't play well in California.

Big ****ing deal.

New Yorkers don’t speak that way. They don’t overuse the words beautiful and terrific. Thye are more negative and staightforward. Trump is a spoiled rich baby with his own unique baby talk that he uses to fool poor dumb babies.

Trump in a nutshell. Yet he manages to convince his followers that this is not so......

He may have been articulate but he's always been an asshole.

What a ridiculous point of view. According to this view the most terrible dictators in history should be measured as the most successful in their societies. They sure got results.

Oh. Are we talking about Hitler? No thread is complete without someone bringing up Hitler regardless of how irrelevant it might be.

I didn’t mention Hitler. You did. So why did you mention Hitler again?

Does anyone see Hitler mentioned in this post? It must be a where’s Waldo puzzle but with Hitler filling in. Where’s Hitler?
