Trump, the insane lunatic that he has become, is about to throw Pence under the bus and blame him for his election loss.

He now buys into the false idea that the VP, as President of The Senate, can pick and choose which Electoral Ballots to count and then call for the Congress to certify or appeal. This is of course a lie, all the VP can do is count the number of legally certified Electoral votes that were officially sent in by the States. He has no authority to pick and choose which ones he think are legitimate and which ones are fraudulent. Pence made this very clear when he objected to the Federal lawsuit arguing this very issue.

So Pence will announce 306 Electoral votes for Biden, some of those votes will be contested by the House and Senate will NOT approve the appeal, and the 306 votes for Biden will stand.

What's Trump going to do? Attempt to fire Pence? Call him a traitor? Its possible.

To be fair, I actually agree that Pence will reject any fraudulently chosen electors. However, I suspect Trump’s definition of “fraudulently chosen electors” differs from my own.

We don't even get to vote directly for vice president, and we've just handed them the keys to federal elections?

Sounds legit.

My understanding is the original process back in the old days was for the 2nd place winner to become VP.

Can you imagine Hilldog as VP today? Never doubt, things could be even weirder!

Well, yes. He will reject any fake Elector votes that were not properly certified by the States.

It would seem by various accounts, Pence has tried repeatedly to explain to Trump what tommorow involves but it's going right over Trump's head.

Imo Pence will state what most of us already know (Biden is the next POTUS) and Trump will launch into attacks that Pence is a traitor and weak for not sending him into four more years. Probably end up going a similar route like his attacks on Sessions and anyone else that didn't cater to his demands.

Trump has done basically nothing in the way of his job since Nov 3rd and clearly if he was hoping to pollute Scotland with his presence on Jan 19 he already knows he better be packed up and gone by the time a real president moves in. Well, after the deep cleaning that is.

If the Vice-President had this amazing authority, why didn't Vice-President Biden certify Hillary as the winner in 2017? Hmmm????
Because folks capable of pulling off the election steal in trumpist fantasy without making a single mistake or any of the millions that would have to be involved spilling the beans, were just not clever enough to see this obvious solution that was in the constitution the whole time!

Which makes me wonder why they didn't use the time machine they must have to have put all of those people in exactly the right places to **** over trump decades later.

Maybe it uses the same orange as is in his makeup and his presidency has resulted in a shortage because everybody who knew how to make it died of COVID.

Trump betrays everyone eventually.. But screw Pence and the rest of the Republican cowards. They had many chances to get rid of Trump. But they didn't..

They can all go to hell..
Hope they like how those petards they have hoisted themselves on feel!

I would not shine a black light on any of the whitehouse flags.

Yea that question is never going to get answered. And for obvious reason.
It is truly beyond idiotic for Trumpers to make this claim- as if the drafters of the constitution debated for weeks how presidents would be elected but ultimately crafted a loophole to let the VP choose who he/she wanted as president every 4 years. Seriously, you can't be that dumb.

Trump will **** up his chance for a pardon. And, that is not a bad thing.

I'm sure more than one person told him to resign and let Mike pardon him. But, of course, the Orange Child who thinks he is King knows better. And, that is not a bad thing at all.

Trump will throw him under the bus in the same way he's done to everyone who hasn't toed the line 100%. The bottom line is this: either fully comply with Trump's requests, or get disowned from the his inner circle. Trump just wants what he wants.

It's going right over his head because his "head" doesn't get an obligation to follow the law even when it is something you don't like or something that doesn't work in your favour. He has no capacity to grasp a " legal obligation" or an obligation to honour your oath of office.

He’ll be thrown under the bus for the election tally, then brought back into the fold for the pardon. This way, Pence breaks even with the base, and Trump can blindly proceed as though he has a chance against Ivanka in ‘24.

Tru8mp has never understood how the government works, including his own office, thing is anyone daring to inform him would be fired on the spot, oh except Pence which trump cannot fire. LOL, what an Idiot.

Attempt to fire Pence?
At this point I'd like to see Trump eject Pence from the Trump House and then watch all the Trumplican monkeys hump the football all at ounce until Jan 20. Who becomes the new substitute VP per Trump's fairy dust law?
