We ARE in "some weird...universe". One that has the USA led by a President, an Administration, a Congress, and a political party that flouts the rule of law and acts as if the Constitution has been "terminated".

And trump's just getting started....

This is where I get lost with all of you. Trump IS NOT violating the law and he IS NOT ignoring the law. These removals are being conducted in accordance with the law. The best I can figure is that these laws have been ignored for so long that a lot of you just have no idea that they exist.

To that end, it was all the stuff that went on BEFORE enforcement that was "weird". What's happening now is what was supposed to be happening all along.

Sure, he's ignoring the law. He refused to accord people their due process rights.

He refused to abide by a judge's ruling.

He's ignoring the SCOTUS order that he facilitate the release of a person trump "mistakenly" renditioned to El Salvador.

Why MAGA accepts - hell, applauds! - this kind of lawlessness is a question for the ages.

Nah, I don't do YOUR homework.

If you want to prove that ICE does not have to afford its grab-and-detain victims their due process rights, you do the work.

In the meantime, MAGA is supporting an Administration that is proving to be lawless.

I already did my homework. I even posted a link to the statutory requirements in one of these threads.

Nope. You didn't do your work. Posting a link isn't sufficient to prove whatever you are claiming.

Read your link, copy and paste the excerpt(s) that show what are the relevant laws. Read the link, copy and paste the excerpt(s) that specify which actions taken by ICE afford their prisoners due process rights.

And be sure your link is credible.

Or they were snatching up random brown people and happened to pull one over that was identified as the relative of a known illegal immigrant.
 
In the meantime, MAGA supports lawlessness on the part of the leader of the GOP. How ironic, given the fact the President is supposed to be the Chief Enforcer of the nations' laws.
