Trump’s “Christian” supporters do not follow a central message of Jesus (11 Viewers)

I sure did. See again post #(12).

That’s an excuse, not a reason. When was the cancellation date of the admonition of Jesus to take care of “the least of these” and how do you know? Does Jesus in Heaven no longer care about “the least of these”? Does the suffering and misery that Trump is causing in a worldwide basis align with the empathy and compassion lessons that Jesus taught while on Earth?

Seeing so-called “Christians” lined up behind such a person as Trump, who cares not about Jesus and religion other than to use it for his own political purposes, and seeing how little he cares about “the least of these” is a very good reason to remain a compassionate atheist rather than a clealry hypocritical fundamentalist “Christian”.

A backhanded way of saying that you refuse to condemn the purposeful starving of Palestinian children by Netanyahu while Trump looks the other way. I do.
Israel are God's chosen people. They have a right to defend themselves. God has been dealing with them for millennia, and I trust Him to continue to do so.

Biblical blather in order to try to justify the starvation of thousands upon thousands of children. This is a very good reason not to rely on the Bible as a guide for morality and for not becoming a fundamentalist “Christian” who refuses to condemn such clearly cruel and immoral actions and the “president” who looks the other way while they are happening.

true. in the end, all of the End Times wars are to point to their Messiah they rejected the first time.

actually the Tribulation period is when God turns his attention toward Israel once again, and the Remnant come to faith in Jesus. but most wont until Jesus comes again in the Millennium and stops the Armageddon war before the Oligarchs kill everyone.

watsup, the BRIGHT spot is that the children go to heaven to live with Jesus forever.

my real concern is the Atheists on this forum who may miss heaven and end up in the Toaster. hope that isn't you my friend, you seem to have much Wisdom from God lately.

please keep going, you would make a goooood preacher me thinks.

0006_22.gif......there goes another kid to a better place.

where are our Atheists friends going? anyone care today?

maybe we need to think of great ways of caring ..................

I'm not justifying anything, it's not my place. Not my circus, not my monkeys. But Hamas had their chance. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Thank you for confirming my post #53 so quickly.

To be fair, a good portion of people who claim to be "real Christians" are the exact same way.
Cherry picking their morality.

I have no objection to helping those who genuinely need it.
But note 2 Thessalonians 3:10: "We also gave you this rule: If you don't work, you don't eat".
Plus there are many passages in the Old Testament against laziness. The Bible does not advocate for slacking.

That passage was targeted to Christians who were sitting around doing nothing, waiting for the Rapture. Jesus made no such declaration. He commanded us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and heal the sick, and he didn't qualify how. Churches have fallen well short of this command.

it might surprise you who all was involved in the attack, who knew about the attack before hand and why the attack was really planned out this way.

but i would rather some one else do the Leg Work on this. the Real Criminals at the top are hardly mentioned: par for the course. the sheep on the bottom? well some kind of story with holes so many it is hard for me to patch them over.

come on sheep just stop it for once.............never mind, carry on.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

thats how much of life is played; unfortunately we all are winning Stupid Prizes.

thankfully Jesus will exchange our Stupid Prizes for REAL Salvation good for this Life and the Next Life.

anyone want a Real Prize or are you still content with Stupid Prizes ?

true. all we need to do is to preach the truth in an attitude of love, because these people are facing the Toaster and need help.

actually many will say Lord Lord but didn't do what Jesus said.

too many think that a salvation prayer is all they neeed.........

wrong.

look at the book of James and see that God saves us to good works. if you go back to the world, you will lose your salvation in the end. this is an important point of Jesus, Paul, Peter and James/John.

but many miss this, thinking just a one time Salvation experience is all they need...then live back in their old life of sin: nope, we now need to repent and walk holy.

the question is: do you repent daily? do you live holy every day? do you have good works for God?

if not: why not?

many churches don't preach this for various reasons.........so i do. then i push a book by an ex baptist minister and bible college preacher who changed his faith to holiness....

.

As to the many that ' will say Lord Lord but didn't do what Jesus said', Jesus said unto them (Matt. 7:23), "I never knew you" Did you catch that? They were never believers. They are not an example of believers losing their salvation.

Yes, I am fully aware that you want to make this personal instead of addressing the topic as outlined in the OP. What are you so afraid of? What are your thoughts regarding Netanyahu starving Palestinian children to death while Trump) and apparently yourself) look the other way? Jesus weeps.

What have I said that is not true of you?

Yes, I understand that you will deflect to personal criticisms rather than answer thr questions that are central the OP discussion. Your fear of exposing yourself as diverging from a central lesson of Jesus is quite clear.

good question Lees

so what do you do with a book like James where he says that he will show you his faith by his works?

what do you say about someone who once walked a True christian walk of faith and then left the faith?

i say the man will lose his salvation if he doesn't repent.

regardless though, you and i believe the man will be judged by Jesus: the verdict will be, i never knew you.

Lees, i attend Pentecostal and Reform churches and they both say the same thing in different ways; those that show no evidence of Salvation will not be in heaven.

regardless of your church, Repentance and Faith should be a Daily thing.

I'm not saying it was an excuse or a reason. I'm saying you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to Scripture. As you so perfectly have displayed. The Church is not in (Matt. 25)

I have no problem with the Book of James. Faith does produce works.

If one was a true Christian he cannot leave the faith. He may fall and walk in sin, but he never leaves the faith. God won't let him. The salvation of God is not so flippant that one can go in and out. It is secure based upon only the work of Jesus Christ.

No, you and I don't believe the same. When Jesus says, 'I never knew you', it means you were never a believer.

The action of repentance and faith in the life of a believer doesn't determine his security as a believer.

I don't know, what did He say? Give me the verse.

You really and truly don’t know what Jesus had to say about “the least of these”? Are you sure you’re an actual Christian or just a Trump cult Christian. There is a difference.

That’s a generalized comment. I am asking you for specifics. What did I state in the OP that is not true? Why are you so afraid to answer this question?
And the Bible verse in the OP includes the words of Jesus as recorded in the Bible. Which of them do yiu disagree with?

Europe is sunken, the US is sinking. There'a no allies in front of own survival.
The US' problem is, all third world countries can produce low end goods and they sell them to the US, while China can produce high end goods which the world can buy from cheap. It means the US is buying all sort of craps from the world and can sell nothing out. reciprocal tariffs are an attempt to reverse this. That is, if a country would like to dump its low end products to the US, it needs to buy either high end products from the US instead of China, or something equivalent in dollar amount. The US public however are full of idiots lacking the vision. No wonder it's losing to the Chinese with a slowly boiled frog syndrome, just as how the Europe was turned to.

Trump at the end, is just another Caeser though.

Be that as it may, as I said the Bible has many passages about the evils of sluggishness, slothfulness, and idleness. Regarding the golden rule: I would want to be cared for in true need, but I do not want to be coddled. Welfare has had some negative effects, such as its impact on the institution of marriage. Arguably it has encouraged the rise of single motherhood, which has affected society in ways that can't even be measured.
