Senior Technical Advisor? How far down the food chain is that position?

It's not really a bold appointment considering how far down the chain of command that position is.
 
I hear conservative heads blow up in the horizon over this..

I have no problem with the appointment and will cheer when things like race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and such are no longer a factor in job selection.

Naw, our heads don't explode. We just refuse to recognize people's silly little gender fantasies. This person is whatever sex they were born, and pronouns used to refer to them should match that case. One must not encourage people in their unhealthy delusions.

As always in such cases, this assumes that the person in question is not a true hermaphrodite.

Most normal societies would consider insane or idiotic not progress to appoint someone with mental problems to a position of power . What next is he going to appoint someone who thinks he is a duck? I know maybe they can appoint someone with multiple personality disorder to be head of the CIA or maybe someone who hears voices in his head. I am sure some moron will call me a homophobe while at the same time saying I am not qualified to make that diagnoses of that person being sane(kind of hypocritical to accuse someone of having a disorder and then claiming that no one else has the right to do the same)

Might I suggest you read the DSM to try and gain a grip as to what defines a psychological disorder?

There is no such thing as normality.

mental problems? huh? she seems to be very accomplished. btw, a transgender person is not necessarily gay, nor do they have multiple personalities.

At Raytheon, Simpson -- a former test pilot who had worked for the company for more than a generation -- transitioned from male to female and was instrumental in convincing the military contractor to add gender identity and expression to its equal employment opportunity policy.

I care insomuch as I am expected by a vocal minority in Society to accept ridiculous assertions of false gender.

I am also maintain a compassionate concern for the mental health of people who have or imagine that they have a disassociation between reality and body image.

In passing, I'll mention that one of the techniques used in brainwashing and other forms of true torture is to make the subject describe something in a way which is obviously untrue. Stating that a black item is white, for instance. Supposedly this is a method for breaking sown the subjects sense of truth and reality.

If that were true then kids playing dress up would be considered psychologically derranged. :lol: We all create public personas which are at variance with our "true selves". But that really is not the issue in the case of transgender people.

See, unlike autism or other such disorders as you are obviously trying to compare trasngenderism to, transgenderism does not typically result in a lack of cognitive capacity.

I could argue that believing in God is a form of imaginary friend and thus makes Christians unsuitable for the public sphere. :rofl

Someone with multiple personalities thinks they are two or more people in one body, this doesn't really seem to be any different than someone who thinks they are the wrong gender. Except in the case of the person of with multiple personality disorder no one facilitating his mental disorder and calling him cured by giving him multiple birth certificates and IDs and even playing along with him by actually addressing him each of his supposed separate personality. While trannys/people pretending to be a gender they are not you play along by addressing him as a her and quacks and corrupt unethical doctors facilitate his mental disorder by chopping off his penis,giving him fake breaks and fake vagina and hormones to somewhat make him look more feminine
