Trans Swimmer Crushes Female Opponents, Take Five Medals at Championship Event (6 Viewers)

I actually think that some feel this is the foot of a dangerous path leading to a summit that many have a fear of.

I have to confess that my age and health are probably not allowing me the same fear some younger folks might have of a trend that seems - - - well, to be polite, seems strange.

I might also point out that "larger concerns" don't halt such mundane tasks like mowing the lawn, due to a lowly concern that tall grass might hide those pesky snakes.

You must have a very difficult career path before you, Ikari, if you can only focus on the "larger concerns".
Well I didn't really give a shit as to what you think the difficulty of my career path is.

But if you want me to tremble over some random, local, amateur competition where the organizers allowed trans to participate in the division of their identified gender, you're out of luck. This just doesn't rise to any level of disconcerting.

The biggest impact this topic does have is that it is used as deflection from the larger issues. So if you want to focus on mowing your lawn rather larger issues, so be it. But it doesn't make the larger issues go away just because your grass is tall.

Thank you for the response.

But be more careful with your use of that past tense, as it appears you do care NOW what I think about your career path.

Still, the response is appreciated.

Actually, as basically a retired old fart, I will wish you the best of luck with your career. And "luck" can sometimes be a factor as one progresses down the path of their career. "Luck" can even help save one's life in some careers.

Yes yes, well let me file your well wishes right here under "dumb things that are inconsequential and don't mean shit". Oh look, it's right next to the "random, local, amateur competition where the organizers allowed trans to participate in the division of their identified gender" file. Man, that drawer of "dumb things that are inconsequential and don't mean shit" sure is getting full.

You sure are into that use of profanity, aren't you? That's interesting for a number of reasons that I am not allowed to get into here, am I? Very interesting. And I am sure you have seen me make note of something similar in another manner of communications in this Community. Yes, very-very interesting. And thank you, again.

Funny, too, as I thought I made some reference to the path that leads to a higher location. We certainly do not seem to be on that path in the early posts of this second page of this thread.

Had she never won a championship until now? It's like her participation has not been noteworthy unless she wins.

That's politics.

So anything that negatively affects a very small number of people shouldn't be cared about. When have you ever thought this before?

Imagine being one ipof those few people demonized and erased by a segment if society.

For some perspective, note that in the entire female population no longer has the constitutional right to control their own bodies.

Actually, on the topic of careers, I started in aviation, and it might be one big reason that profanity never took hold with my normal communications process at all levels, even to these days. A pilot uses profanity on a hot mic and the CO is going to have you at attention while she/he teaches you all about that profanity you should not have allowed to get into the record.

Anyway, interesting link you posted. #3 of that link is one I could use.

just do away with women's sports

can we all agree ?

#1 they make no money, they're all losing money
#2 they're not watched much by anybody
#3 title 9 has lived its life, kill it and lets go to 1 sports, best girls/boys/men/women play

do it - and you'll see 95% of grade school/high school sports dominated by boys, 99.99% of professional sports dominated by men/males

and women? ya'll won't have nothing because women simply aren't as good as men when competing together. Men wanting to be women? Will lose over and over and over because they're average male athletes and cannot compete with men overall. They only win when beating women.

isn't it time we forget about women in sports? isn't that REALLY what needs to happen ?

Ooo.

So edgy.

I think it’s time we stop elevating “sports”, period.

So I’m on board with this.

No more tax payer funding at all for any sports.

No more funding fancy stadiums at high schools and colleges for football - right off the top.

Because once or twice a year a transgender wins?

Seems like an overreaction.

I am more fascinated by this sudden concern for adult amateur swimming competition done by a private organization
They can't even drag out the usual complaints about the mythical unfairness to their grand daughter or daughter.

They don’t even have to win… they just have to compete.

That is enough to get the outrage going.

If there is a serious problem within the adult amateur swimming world then I will leave it up for them to solve.

It’s their thing… it’s their rules.

They tend not to notice when they don't win.

I'll agree with that

men's sports makes money

women's sports suck money, we don't need them anymore and all the benefits women get from sports isn't needed anymore, right ?

Look at all the collective Captain Save-A-Hoe's here so worried about 40-50 yr old women in a swim meet.
I mean it is truly heart-warming, guess they have to take a break now and again from denying the younger women in the country their body autonomy rights.

They don't even try to defend this anymore.

They just claim that people shouldn't care because it's only a small number of people cheating.

women's sports make no money

if it wasn't for men's sports, there would be no women's sports and if women competed with men? fair and equal ? there would be exceptionally few girls/women ever playing sports at all

isn't that a fact ?

The NBA provides the WNBA with an annual endowment of over $15 million.

Kind of like the people in the gun threads who think mass shootings shouldn't get much attention because they are statistically insignificant. 🤷‍♀️
