Tourism to the USA. Let's follow with FACTS.

Isn't tourism seasonal? What are those charts actually showing?

The is a third possibility: Uncle Sam generously provided FREE HOLIDAYS at one of his beautifully sited Detention Centres. All a tourist has to do o qualify is to utter a few well-chosen words about the President.

Cancelled trips basically. Year on year travel bookings. Problem is most can't cancel their trip, so the number could be far worse.

Yeah. Um. They’re showing that the seasonal lows, would be great highs if we could reach it. It’s showing that people would rather tour a Sewer Treatment plant than come to America.

not all arrivals in the US are tourists. There are -were? - many businessmen and many visiting family in the US. These categories are less seasonal.

Well the image literally says what they're meant to be reporting; "Year-on-year change in visitors to the US, by country of origin (%)". For most of the countries shown, they appear to suggest a general increase from 2022 to 2023, generally flat from 2023 to 2024 and then a massive drop in the months so far from 2024 to 2025.

I'd prefer a better source for data than an out-of-context image (though that could probably be tracked down), but the information as presented appears to be fairly clear.
 
First hand, I know that I was late booking an annual trip I have, and when I checked Expedia and VRBO, I was amazed at the options available still.

This time the past 2 years when I’ve gone to book the exact same trip? There were fewer options.

Our own business has lower bookings for the summer months on the books than we typically have for our “tourist trips” this time of year.

Things aren’t looking good for the summer tourist season.

In all my executive recruiting/talent acquisition/headhunting social media groups?

Everyone is talking about how SLOW business has gotten in the past 2 months.

That’s NOT a good sign. I haven’t seen those communities all signaling an economic downturn like they currently are in quite some time.

Across all industries, even healthcare.

You are not alone in noticing business reservation in making financial decisions until more of this trade dispute plays out.

Trump will bring the economy to a halt.
 
It's almost as if the Manchurian Candidate was given orders to crater the U.S. economy and world standing by his master Putin.

Who can avoid coming to the conclusion that given his comments precipitating a trade war with Canada being easily debunked, his comments about Canada becoming the 51st state with Canadian support, his comments about Greenland, Panama, etc., etc..

All of this world wide acrimony would of course be readily seen as a very stupid move, in light of his obvious lies to support such nonsense, by everyone except his idiot followers.

Then, to go to trade war with EVERY other country on the planet, that even fools drinking the koolade would eventually see as fraught with risks not worth the very tenuous claim of bringing jobs back to the U.S.

Even the most retarded among them, watching the massive deportation of supposed illegals not reaping any related job increase benefits; must conclude it's as if every move or announcement is patterned to make the U.S. look like a gorilla on crack running rampant in a fine crystal showroom.

It has to be deliberate on his part with all sensible people concluding his stated motives are not the real reasons for any of this clusterfugg.
 
I hear commercials for other red states trying to get me to visit or work there. Nope. Get rid of fascism if you want my meager money or good labor.

Its says right on the chart....... Change in Visitors to the US, by Country of Origin.

You see the first chart in the Blue Box, the one that says "Austria"
From start of 2024 to end of 2025, it was all + % change, except that one little dip to like -4%.

You see the Big Dip in 2025, same Blue Box, where it dips to -20+ %.

Yea, that means that tourism to the US from "Austria" is down like 22%.
